Job description
We are looking for a results-driven Senior Product Manager with a passion for shaping exceptional user experiences that drive business growth.
In the Akeneo organisation, each Product Line operates independently under a Single Threaded Owner (STO) at VP level. Within each Product Line, multiple Area Single Threaded Owners (Area-STOs) at Director level oversee several Impact Teams. Each Impact Team, led by an Impact Owner, comprises approximately eight engineers, designers and PMs who work autonomously, following their own processes and methodologies.

As we scale and enter a new strategic phase in an increasingly competitive market, delivering a seamless, intuitive user experience is more critical than ever. That's why we're forming a brand-new team dedicated to simplify the end-to-end experience across our products, and at every stage of the user lifecycle-from discovery to onboarding, adoption to expansion. As a foundational member of this team, you will play a key role in shaping its direction and delivering real value to our users-one impactful step at a time. You will be expected to lead an Impact Team and drive projects to ensure their reach their outcomes successfully.
Reporting directly to the Single Threaded Owner (STO), who is extremely passionate about delivering this impact, you will collaborate closely with teams of engineers, designers and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:

• Customer & stakeholder engagement: Build strong relationships with customers, partners and internal stakeholders. Advocate for user needs while balancing technical feasibility and product viability.
• User Research and Testing: work hand-in-hand with a Product Designer to conduct user research to deeply understand customer needs, pain points, and workflows. Plan and execute user testing to validate hypotheses and gather feedback on prototypes and new features.
• Market & competitive analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and industry best practices to identify opportunities that will strengthen our position and product portfolio.
• Data-driven decision-making: Define and track success metrics, using qualitative and quantitative data to inform product decisions. Communicate insights, risks, and progress effectively across the organisation.
• Manage the release process: work hand-in-hand with our Product Marketing Manager to prepare for releases, communicate on new features and enable the rest of Akeneo.
• Strategic planning: work with the STO to define our long-term strategy and make sure our day-to-day progress is aligned with this strategy.

Qualifications

• Experience: You have 6+ years of experience in product management, with a background in SaaS products.
• Track Record: You have a history of creating products that improve user experience and grow market share.
• Adaptability: You thrive in a fast-paced, impact-focused environment and can handle uncertainties and changing requirements.
• Communication & collaboration: Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, fostering cross-functional alignment and promoting a unified, customer-centric approach to product development.
• Leadership: You have demonstrated leadership in previous roles, guiding teams through challenges over time and delivering impact directly as well as indirectly.
