As a Senior Product Manager in the News Products team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our content platforms and creation tools. Reporting to the Head of Product Core Experience, You will also lead the strategy, development, and launch of innovative products that empower our content creators and enhance the overall user experience.
This role is a Hybrid position (Home & Hub Based) - infrequent travel to our core offices (Liverpool, Manchester or Canary Wharf) will be required from time to time, but for the most part, you will be remote!

Job Description
As a Senior Product Manager, your responsibilities will adapt to the evolving needs of the business, transitioning from delivery-focused tasks to more strategic and analytical roles. You will serve as a crucial link between design, delivery, and engineering, responding flexibly to changes as directed by the Director of Product Design and management.
In this role, you will define and prioritise the product roadmap, balancing immediate objectives with long-term strategies aligned with overall product goals. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, and marketing, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality products. A user-centric approach is essential, driving product design and development to enhance user experience.
You will utilise data analytics to guide product decisions and assess their success. Staying informed about industry trends and competitive landscapes is critical for maintaining a competitive edge. Effective communication with stakeholders is vital to convey the product vision and progress clearly. Additionally, you will mentor team members, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Qualifications
We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager with expertise in content platforms, content management systems, or digital publishing tools. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle, coupled with strong analytical skills for interpreting complex data.
Having a background as a developer or technical business analyst is advantageous, particularly if you understand backend system construction. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential for articulating complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience with A/B testing and other experimentation methodologies is highly valued.
A passion for user experience and a strong customer-centric mindset are crucial, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. A solid technical background, including knowledge of web technologies and APIs, is also important for success in this role.
