Position: Senior Product Manager
Job Location: 680 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086
Duties: Develop short-and long-term product strategies and technical product roadmaps to support the Wal-Mart Enterprise Strategy. Run competitive intelligence analytics and internal data assessments to uncover new opportunities in Search and turn them into insights that align with company goals. Analyze data and qualitative customer feedback to identify patterns and trends in customer behavior to improve search experience. Outline product requirements that are in line with key customer problems, create compelling user experiences, and build large scale distributed data analytics and mining systems that will extract data from a variety of data sources using big data technologies. Design and develop Natural Language Processing (NLP), Neural-Network, XGBoost, and Decision-Tree Machine Learning Models for Search. Conduct detailed product feature testing to assess quality and performance. Use Hive QL, Advanced Excel, and Statistical Analysis to provide data driven insights on features launched and recommendations to build features that improve customer experience for searching on Walmart’s website and mobile apps. Apply advanced knowledge of R, Tableau, SQL Server, and Web development to visualize data with templated or customer reports and create effective reporting and dashboards to seamlessly communicate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to business stakeholders. Conduct detailed product feature testing to assess quality and performance. Leverage various testing techniques (such as interleaving, A/B tests, and Pre-Post Analysis), analyze A/B test data using Microsoft (MS) Excel and t-tests, and interpret A/B test results. Actively partner with stakeholders across the organization to build personalized and contextualized features for Search, including recommendations based on users’ past behaviors, preferences, and local and seasonal context. Track and run analyses of key operational search metrics and financial performance indicators and measure progress for the Search team through centralized governance. This position does not supervise employees.
Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), Business Administration, or related area and 3 years of experience in product management; OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), Business Administration, or related area and 5 years of experience in product management.
Skills required: Experience developing short-term and long-term product strategies and technical product roadmaps. Experience running competitor analysis and analyzing large quantities of customer data. Experience using Hive QL, Microsoft (MS) Excel, and t-tests. Experience executing detailed product feature testing using A/B tests and Pre-Post Analysis. Experience using R, Tableau, and SQL server. Experience working with business and technical stakeholders. Experience tracking and analyzing key operational search metrics and financial performance indicators and measuring progress through centralized governance. Experience designing and developing Natural Language Processing (NLP), Neural-Network, XGBoost, and Decision-Tree Machine Learning Models to understand customer behavior and solve business problems. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $158,746/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
