About HouseAccount

HouseAccount aims to disrupt the $500 billion home service industry by revolutionizing and digitizing the homeowner experience. We (and our customers) firmly believe that the future of the home service industry lies in embracing technology to replace outdated and inefficient phone calls, manual scheduling, non-digital payments, and costly paper-based processes.

Team: Cofounders (Wiley, Matt, Kenny) and the rest of our team have spent their careers building world-class tech companies that transform local businesses by digitizing their consumer experience(s). We are an experienced executive team that have been founders or exec team members at the following companies, each with successful outcomes: Seamless ($GRUB), Slice ($1B+ preIPO), OLO ($OLO), SinglePlatform ($TRIP), Constant Contact ($CTCT), and Good Uncle ($ARMK).

The Job: As a Senior Product Manager, you will spearhead the development of our e-commerce engine, designed to power and connect the $500B home services industry.

Your primary focus will be creating an unparalleled digital experience for homeowners. You'll be at the forefront of our consumer experience roadmap, bridging our customers, the product, and our engineering team to transform a historically low-tech industry. Working closely with design and engineering, you'll iterate on prototypes and products to rapidly drive user value.

You'll play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategies to digitize traditional processes, improve operational efficiencies, and create seamless connections between homeowners and service providers. What You'll Do:

  • Execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for HouseAccount's consumer application (desktop web, mobile web, and Android/iOS), with a laser focus on driving conversions
  • Pioneer consumer innovation in the home services industry, constantly thinking from a homeowner's perspective to optimize the purchase journey
  • Collaborate with engineering and design to execute projects quickly and efficiently, always with an eye on improving user experience
  • Write requirements and spec docs, emphasizing features that enhance the consumer buying experience
  • Monitor, measure, and lead post-launch reviews to ensure feedback is reincorporated back into the product development process
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis, consumer research, and scoping to drive product and feature development that boosts consumer engagement
  • Master our product analytics tool, Amplitude, to gain deep insights into consumer behavior
  • Articulate product priorities by being extremely data-driven

Who You Are:

  • Deep, proven experience as a product manager for a high-converting, consumer-facing e-commerce product in a rapidly scaling startup
  • Extensive knowledge of e-commerce best practices and  strategies for optimizing user engagement
  • Demonstrated success in significantly improving key conversion metrics in previous roles
  • Ability to break down complex systems and processes so they can be easily understood, and communicate this to other people within the organization
  • Firm grasp of highly technical concepts and ability to describe highly technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Significant working experience with Amplitude, Pendo, MixPanel, and Google Analytics (or similar) to analyze consumer behavior, with a track record of incorporating these insights into product improvements
  • Expert in A/B testing, establishing the right KPIs, and hypothesizing the value of new features
  • Adept at balancing the long-term product vision with the need for speed, especially in a high-growth e-commerce environment
  • An advocate for Agile methodologies with an emphasis on simplicity, efficiency, and rapid iteration to improve conversion rates
  • Embraces change with a "we're all in this together" mindset, always focused on driving better results for our consumers and the business

  • Regular strategic onsites (in NYC) and offsites (TBD) where we gather the team for work and non-work.
  • A world-class team of fun, welcoming, ego-free, proven entrepreneurs with whom to build life-long relationships.
