CaseWorx for Schools is a cloud-based software solution designed to perform threat identification and student case management to prevent school violence.

The Role

Versaterm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Product Manager to drive the development and enhancement of CaseWorx for Schools. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both product management principles and the unique challenges faced by educational institutions in addressing school violence and safety concerns. As a Senior Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in defining the product roadmap, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Hybrid model with a preference for candidates located in Columbia, South Carolina

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy and Roadmap Development:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for CaseWorx for Schools, aligned with the company's overall vision and objectives
• Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and user needs
• Define the product roadmap, prioritize features, and articulate clear objectives and milestones for product development

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate closely with engineering, design, sales, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of the product roadmap
• Facilitate communication and foster a collaborative environment to drive product innovation and excellence
• Act as a liaison between stakeholders and development teams, ensuring effective communication of priorities, timelines, and requirements

Product Development and Execution:

• Lead the product development lifecycle from concept to launch, working closely with engineering teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and user-centric solutions
• Define product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and actively participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and review sessions

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), user feedback, and market trends to iterate on product features and drive continuous improvement

Customer Engagement and Relationship Management:

• Build strong relationships with customers, understanding their pain points, challenges, and objectives related to school safety and violence prevention
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing guidance, best practices, and insights on leveraging CaseWorx for Schools to enhance safety measures and security protocols
• Gather customer feedback, testimonials, and case studies to demonstrate the value proposition of the product and inform future enhancements

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
• 5+ years of product management experience in software development, preferably in the education technology (EdTech) or public safety industry
• Proven track record of successfully launching and managing complex software products, with experience in cloud-based solutions and SaaS platforms
• Strong understanding of product management methodologies, agile development practices, and UI/UX design principles
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts, influence stakeholders, and build consensus across cross-functional teams
• Strategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset, data-driven decision-making skills, and a passion for driving positive social impact
• Experience in threat identification, risk assessment, or school safety initiatives is a plus
