The Role

Clio is more than just a tech company–we are a global leader that is transforming the legal experience for all by bettering the lives of legal professionals while increasing access to justice.

Summary:

Communication is at the heart of how law firms serve their clients, and we are reimagining how those interactions happen across email, voice, SMS, and beyond.

As the Senior Product Manager, Unified Communications, you’ll lead the strategy to unify Clio’s client communication experiences across products. You’ll build the foundations for intelligent, cohesive communication, allowing lawyers to seamlessly connect with clients, collaborate across channels, and leverage AI to make every interaction more meaningful.

This is a high-impact, cross-functional role that bridges multiple product lines. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Design, and other PMs to define the vision, deliver customer value incrementally, and set the stage for long-term innovation.

What You’ll Work On:
  • Build and execute the roadmap for Clio’s unified communications across our multiproduct suite, starting with email and expanding into voice, SMS, chat, and client portal experiences.

  • Partner with teams across the organization to integrate communication tools that serve multiple products, reducing redundancy and improving scalability.

  • Collaborate with engineering and design to define and deliver solutions that solve real customer pain points while building toward a cohesive long-term vision.

  • Layer AI capabilities into communication tools—enhancing sentiment analysis, urgency detection, and contextual insights for legal professionals.

  • Define success metrics, measure outcomes, and continually iterate based on data and user feedback.

  • Engage deeply with customers to understand how law firms communicate, identifying opportunities to simplify and elevate the client experience.

  • Partner with stakeholders across Clio to ensure alignment, transparency, and clear communication of goals and progress.

What You’ll Bring:
  • 8+ years of product management experience, with a strong track record of building communication, messaging, or collaboration platforms.

  • Experience with multiple communication channels (email, voice, SMS, chat, etc.), ideally in SaaS or platform environments.

  • Experience working with AI tools to enhance communication abilities for customers.

  • Strategic systems thinking—you can balance short-term delivery with long-term platform vision.

  • Strong sense of ownership and agency, with the ability to learn what’s needed to ensure a successful outcome.

  • Technical fluency and the ability to partner effectively with engineering teams.

  • Deep customer empathy, particularly for professionals who rely on communication to deliver their work.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills—you can influence without authority and align diverse teams around a shared goal.

  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and driving clarity where none exists.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities without compromising quality or timelines.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring requirements are clear and development stays aligned with the product vision.

  • A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and the humility to seek guidance when needed.

Bonus points if you have:
  • Experience in the legal tech space or adjacent industries.

  • Experience with AI or machine learning integrations in communication systems.
