Role
As a Senior Product Manager - Technical (PM-T), you will act as the bridge between the business, product, and engineering organisations, driving the delivery of highly scalable and reliable software solutions across multiple teams.
You will be responsible for translating business objectives into technical requirements, leading feature development from concept through production, and ensuring solutions align with Mastercard standards, architecture principles, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities• Own and drive the end-to-end delivery of product capabilities across multiple engineering teams.• Partner with Product Managers, Technical Program Managers, Architects, and Engineering Leads to define product vision, roadmap priorities, and technical requirements.• Elicit, analyse, document, and refine business and system requirements into features, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.• Lead requirements gathering workshops and facilitate discussions across technical and non-technical stakeholders.• Collaborate with engineering teams to design scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions that meet business objectives.• Support day-to-day product execution including backlog management, prioritisation, release planning, and feature delivery.• Drive SDLC activities including:• Business requirements and functional specifications• Use cases and process flows• Solution designs and technical documentation• Release and deployment planning• Rollback and contingency planning• Cost, effort, and feasibility analyses• Participate in Proof-of-Concept (PoC) initiatives and contribute to technology, vendor, and solution evaluations.• Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes, product quality, operational efficiency, and delivery effectiveness.• Partner closely with Architecture, Security, Compliance, and Operations teams to ensure solutions meet enterprise standards.• Facilitate reviews, inspections, and quality checkpoints including requirements, design, code, and security reviews.• Ensure adherence to Mastercard, PCI, data governance, and regulatory compliance requirements.• Monitor product performance, operational metrics, and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement.• Mentor Product Managers, Business Analysts, and team members on product management, requirements engineering, and SDLC best practices.
All About You
You are an experienced technical product professional who combines strong business acumen with deep technical understanding. You are comfortable working in complex enterprise environments, influencing stakeholders, and driving outcomes across geographically distributed teams.• Strong experience as a Technical Product Manager, Product Owner, Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role delivering enterprise-scale software products.• Proven ability to translate business objectives into clear requirements, epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications.• Deep understanding of Agile delivery methodologies, including Scrum, backlog prioritisation, release planning, and stakeholder management.• Solid technical foundation with experience working on distributed, multi-tier, API-driven, and high-availability software platforms.• Experience leading cross-functional teams through the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from ideation through production release and support.• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders at all levels.• Experience driving quality, security, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence through requirements reviews, design reviews, and governance processes.
Desirable Skills• Experience in payments, fraud prevention, risk management, decisioning, financial services, or cardholder authentication solutions.• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures, microservices, event-driven systems, and modern software engineering practices.• Familiarity with Java-based enterprise platforms, real-time transaction processing systems, and low-latency, high-volume environments.• Experience evaluating and implementing new technologies, Proofs of Concept (PoCs), vendor solutions, and architectural frameworks.• Understanding of PCI-DSS, security standards, data governance, and regulatory compliance requirements.• Experience using Agile delivery and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.

In this role, you will be expected to:• Successfully deliver strategic product initiatives from concept through production.• Improve delivery predictability, quality, and operational excellence across engineering teams.• Drive clear requirements and reduce ambiguity in product development.• Foster strong partnerships between Product, Engineering, Architecture, and Business stakeholders.• Contribute to the evolution of Mastercard's next-generation fraud prevention and decision intelligence capabilities.
