Are you passionate about building the next generation of messaging platforms that are scalable, intelligent, and built to perform? T-Mobile is looking for an experienced and innovative Senior Product Manager – Technical to lead our core messaging ecosystem—with a special focus on SMS/MMS, Shortcode, Longcode, Toll-Free, and compliance frameworks such as TCPA and CTIA.
In this high-impact role, you’ll lead the evolution of our messaging platforms by defining a bold product vision and driving end-to-end execution across technical performance, operational efficiency, and customer experience. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and executive leadership to deliver solutions that scale with our business and make messaging more powerful, more compliant, and easier to manage.

What You’ll Own and Deliver

Lead Messaging Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Define the long-term product vision for messaging services and platforms—balancing innovation, compliance, and business impact.
  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog with a deep focus on business value, customer outcomes, and technical feasibility.

Drive Operational Excellence & Platform Performance

  • Partner with engineering and operations to co-lead initiatives—ranging from technical proof-of-concepts (PoCs) to scaled implementations—that improve direct partner performance and optimize messaging reliability, speed, and efficiency across the platform.
  • Eliminate manual workflows by driving automation and scalability across internal processes.

Lead Messaging Platform Enhancements

  • Collaborate with engineering to develop enhancements that:
    • Enable advanced reporting and analytics.
    • Support platform migrations with operational ease.
    • Improve partner and vendor experiences.

Innovate for Internal Tools & Teams

  • Develop internal platform tools for operational stakeholders including:
    • Partner Platforms – Automate workflows and improve vendor engagement
    • Test and Certification – Enhance and integrate platforms for consistency and improved experience
    • Compliance Framework – Strengthen tools for compliance in non-consumer messaging within messaging platforms.

Ensure Regulatory Compliance

  • Stay current on evolving messaging policies and regulations (TCPA, CTIA).
  • Proactively manage compliance risks and build trust into every product you touch.

Communicate and Influence

  • Own and present strategic product roadmaps to senior stakeholders, including VP-level leaders.
  • Maintain full product documentation to ensure continuity, transparency, and easy onboarding.

What You Bring to the Table

  • 5–8+ years of experience in product management with a focus on technical platforms or messaging systems.
  • Deep expertise in SMS/MMS, Shortcode, Longcode, Toll-Free, and the overall messaging ecosystem.
  • Strong understanding of messaging compliance frameworks (CTIA, TCPA).
  • Track record of delivering commercial outcomes and measurable business results.
  • Fluent in technical concepts, comfortable working with engineers on architectural decisions.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies, feature writing, and backlog management.
  • Excellent communicator, capable of crafting narratives that drive alignment and action.
  • Passionate about solving complex problems, driving innovation, and improving customer experiences.

Base Pay Range: $130,900 - $236,200

Corporate Bonus Target: 20%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
