The Separations and Purification Product Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, development, and lifecycle management of centrifuge products that support scientific research, diagnostics, or therapeutic development. This role bridges science and business, ensuring that products meet market needs, regulatory standards, and commercial goals.
This position reports to the Head of Separation and Purification Products and is part of the Product Management organization. This role will be hiring in Shanghai or SuZhou, China. Fluency in Mandarin and English is required.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Product Strategy & Roadmap
Define and execute product strategy for assigned life science product lines (e.g., reagents, instruments, software).
Develop and maintain product roadmaps aligned with customer needs and company objectives.
Identify market opportunities through customer insights, competitive analysis, and scientific trends.
Product Development & Lifecycle Management
Lead cross-functional teams through product development, from concept to launch.
Create and manage product requirements, business cases, and go-to-market plans.
Monitor product performance and drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Customer & Market Engagement
Serve as the voice of the customer by gathering feedback from researchers, clinicians, and partners.
Conduct market research and attend scientific conferences to stay informed on industry trends.
Develop user personas and use cases to guide product design and positioning.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with R&D, marketing, sales, regulatory, and operations teams to ensure successful product delivery.
Support sales enablement with training, collateral, and technical expertise.
Collaborate with regulatory and quality teams to ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, FDA, CE).
Commercial Support
Define pricing strategies and value propositions.
Support product launches with marketing campaigns, webinars, and customer outreach.
Track KPIs such as revenue, adoption, and customer satisfaction.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Biochemistry, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
9-14 years of experience in product management, preferably in life sciences, diagnostics, or biotech.
Strong understanding of laboratory workflows, scientific research, and customer personas in academia or industry.
Experience with product lifecycle management and go-to-market strategies.
Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Biotherapeutic development
Hands on experience with an Analytical Ultracentrifuge or other centrifuges
Experience with Agile development
