Senior Product Manager - Savings and Cards

Job Description

Location: London, UK (Hybrid: 3 days in office)

Employment type: Permanent, full time

Reporting into: Head of Product

So, who are we?

IG Group is a FTSE 100 fintech operating across five continents, serving over 1.4m customers and handling billions of dollars in transactions – built on scale, trust, and proof. We didn't pivot to innovation; it's how we've always operated. What that means for the people who work here is real: genuinely complex problems to solve, the technology and resources to tackle them properly, and the kind of scope that's rare in established businesses.

The bar is high – bring a curious and forward-thinking mindset and we'll give you the platform to define what comes next.

Join us at IG – the future gets built here.

Your Team:

This role sits within the Product function, in the Trading & Investments domain, reporting into the Head of Product. Savings & Cards is one of five product teams in the domain, and its purpose is to extend client trust beyond investing into everyday saving and spending. You will use AI tools and work closely with engineering, design, compliance, legal, and marketing to define and deliver the savings and cards proposition. You’ll also work closely with the Lifecycle teams, as these products are designed to broaden IG’s customer base and connect saving, spending and investing into one client relationship. The team operates at the intersection of product craft and commercial ambition, focused on building experiences that make saving, spending and investing feel effortless for IG’s customers.

Your role in the Team’s Success:

This is a role for a Senior PM who is as comfortable defining the strategy as they are shipping against it, and who is excited by building something new. As Senior Product Manager for Savings & Cards, you will own the product vision and multi-quarter roadmap for IG’s move into everyday saving and spending, determining which problems are worth solving, setting direction, and driving execution end to end. This is a zero-to-one proposition, starting in the UK and designed to be built once for reuse in other markets. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, navigate ambiguity, and make decisions that directly shape commercial outcomes. You will not be handed a brief. You will write it.

What you’ll do:

Product strategy and roadmap

  • Own the product vision and multi-quarter roadmap for Savings & Cards, aligned to IG’s commercial objectives. Don’t just contribute to it, set it.
  • Determine which problems are worth solving and why, before any solution work begins.
  • Make strategic build vs buy vs partner decisions grounded in customer needs, commercial viability, and technical feasibility, including the choice of banking, card issuing and payments partners.
  • Drive competitive intelligence and translate market insights into differentiated propositions, including how saving, spending and investing connect into one IG relationship.
  • Shape the proposition from first launch (such as Cash ISA) through to the longer-term product line, sequencing what to deliver and when.

Discovery and delivery

  • Run discovery that goes beyond what customers say. Understand the motivations, friction points, and habits that drive or block investing, saving and spending behaviour.
  • Use AI tools actively across your workflow: synthesising research, generating prototypes, accelerating delivery, and surfacing insights faster.
  • Partner with engineering and design to scope, prioritise, and ship with quality and pace.
  • Define success metrics and iterate relentlessly based on evidence.

Cross-functional leadership

  • Influence stakeholders across product, engineering, legal, compliance, marketing, and senior leadership. You drive alignment up, down, and across the organisation.
  • Own the relationship with delivery partners, ensuring the end-to-end customer experience holds up even when delivery is partner-led.
  • Navigate regulatory requirements (such as Consumer Duty, deposit protection and safeguarding, and tax-wrapper rules) and translate compliance constraints into seamless customer experiences.
  • Work comfortably with APIs, backend infrastructure, and platform integrations.
  • Mentor and raise the bar for PMs around you.

What You'll Need:

  • Five or more years shipping consumer-facing products in investment platforms, neobanks, fintech, savings, payments, or adjacent consumer financial services.
  • Familiarity with savings or cash products (e.g. Cash ISA, instant-access or notice accounts) and/or cards and payments (issuing, processing, spend controls, rewards).
  • Proven ability to own and drive product strategy. That means vision setting and direction, not just roadmap input.
  • Deep curiosity about customer financial behaviour: you understand what makes people start saving or investing, stop, switch, or stay.
  • AI-native working style: you already use AI tools (LLMs, prototyping tools, research synthesis, workflow automation) to move faster and think better.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity: you can define the problem when the brief doesn’t exist yet.
  • Experience taking a new product or proposition from concept to launch, ideally in a regulated or trust-sensitive environment.
  • Obsession with customer experience: you sweat the details that make journeys feel effortless.
  • Regulatory intuition: you can navigate compliance without it becoming a blocker to great UX.
  • Evidence and data-driven: you define metrics, run experiments, and make calls based on what works.
  • Strong stakeholder management: you influence without authority and drive alignment across complex organisations.

 Desirable:

  • Worked on platform partnerships, banking or card-issuer integrations, broker integrations, or white-label infrastructure.
  • Experience building or launching AI-powered features in a consumer product.
  • Built products that serve customers at very different levels of financial confidence, from first-time savers and novice investors to sophisticated traders.
  • Experience in fintech, financial services, or a similarly regulated industry.

The Perks:

It really is more than a job. We think like a start-up, but we deliver like a FTSE 100 — so the bar is high, and we won't pretend otherwise. We work hybrid, which means three days in the office. We’ll recognise your talent and make sure that you can still have a life – at work, and outside of it. Networks, committees, awards, sports and social clubs, mentorships, volunteering opportunities, extra time off… the list goes on.

  • Competitive salary
  • Flexible Benefits Package on top of your salary (12%)
  • Private medical cover for you and your family
  • Life insurance
  • Contribution to gym memberships
  • 25 Days holiday, with 1 additional day off to celebrate your Birthday & 2 additional days off a year for voluntary work (28 in total)
  • The option to buy or sell holiday days
  • A comprehensive global and local onboarding process
  • Enhanced primary (maternity), secondary (paternity), and shared parental pay and leave, as well as a range of support and benefits for parents
