Job Description
The Senior Product Manager, Rent-to-Own Solutions will own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for our Rent-to-Own (RTO) platform supporting customers, dealer partners, and internal servicing teams.
This role will be responsible for building products that improve merchant adoption, streamline customer acquisition, optimize application and approval experiences, enhance payment and servicing capabilities, and drive portfolio growth. You will work closely with Credit, Operations, Technology, Sales, Compliance, and Customer Experience teams to create scalable solutions that support both dealer success and customer ownership journeys.
The ideal candidate has experience in fintech, consumer lending, point-of-sale financing, marketplace platforms, lease-to-own, or embedded finance products and is passionate about solving complex business challenges through technology.
How you’ll make an impact:
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Own the vision, roadmap, and product strategy for the Rent-to-Own platform.
- Develop products that support customer acquisition, application processing, servicing, payments, collections, and ownership conversion.
- Partner with executive leadership to identify growth opportunities across dealer channels and customer segments.
- Balance customer needs, dealer experience, operational efficiency, and portfolio performance when prioritizing initiatives.
- Build business cases and product strategies that support long-term revenue and portfolio growth.
Merchant & Dealer Experience
- Improve dealer onboarding, activation, and engagement experiences.
- Develop tools that help dealer partners increase conversion rates and close more sales.
- Partner with Sales teams to understand dealer pain points and identify opportunities for product innovation.
- Optimize dealer portals, reporting, training resources, and self-service capabilities.
- Drive adoption of digital tools that improve the overall dealer experience.
Customer Experience & Servicing
- Enhance customer application, approval, and onboarding experiences.
- Identify opportunities to reduce friction throughout the customer ownership journey.
- Improve payment experiences, account management tools, and customer self-service capabilities.
- Partner with Customer Service and Operations teams to streamline servicing workflows.
- Utilize customer feedback and behavioral analytics to improve engagement and retention.
Data & Product Performance
- Define and manage product KPIs across acquisition, approval rates, conversion, activation, servicing, delinquency, retention, and portfolio performance.
- Analyze customer and dealer behavior to identify opportunities for optimization.
- Build dashboards and reporting frameworks that provide visibility into product health and business outcomes.
- Lead experimentation and testing efforts to continuously improve platform performance.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Credit, Risk, Compliance, Operations, Sales, and Marketing teams.
- Translate business objectives into clear product requirements and development priorities.
- Lead product discovery efforts and maintain a customer-centric approach to decision-making.
- Communicate product vision, priorities, and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Drive alignment across teams while balancing competing priorities and business objectives.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
- 3+ years of Product Management experience.
- Experience supporting fintech, consumer lending, lease-to-own, embedded finance, marketplace, payments, or point-of-sale financing products.
- Strong understanding of customer acquisition funnels, digital applications, servicing, and payment ecosystems.
- Experience working with merchants, dealer networks, or partner-based distribution models.
- Demonstrated ability to build product roadmaps and execute against strategic objectives.
- Strong analytical skills with experience leveraging data to drive product decisions.
- Experience working in Agile product development environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence across multiple functions and levels of the organization.
