We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to enhance Availability and Supply Efficiency. This role will oversee a crucial yet often overlooked layer of intelligence, developing products, systems, and optimizations that ensure ETG consistently aligns appropriate demand with suitable supply while maintaining optimal cost and speed.
The successful candidate will strategically lead the Availability and Supply Efficiency value stream within the Consolidator Business Unit of the Emerging Travel Group, facilitating the efficient conversion of demand side traffic (from B2C, B2A Retail, and B2B API, CTM) into bookable supply responses from our suppliers.
This position is central to ETG’s supply-demand ecosystem, influencing how search requests are allocated, processed, and transformed into bookings, thereby ensuring efficient traffic flow, dependable supplier responses, and a scalable foundation for growth.
ResponsibilitiesStrategic Product Management for Availability Value stream - Develop and champion a strategic vision and roadmap for Availability & Supply efficiency.
- Prioritize initiatives that deliver measurable improvements to SR, IR, L2B, supplier yield, and other relevant metrics.
- Own the end to end availability funnel: Search request received → Supplier called → Rates validated → Rates returned → SR/IR recorded.
- Define, track, and communicate availability KPIs across the organization including Senior leadership.
Supply & Feed Optimization
- Design and optimize the Supplier Qualification (SupQ) and StopList business logic, determine which suppliers get traffic and when.
- Partner with Feed Management and Supply Integrations to cut unproductive suppliers or adjust their traffic share.
- Lead S2B optimization, ensuring suppliers QPS and L2B limits are used efficiently through adaptive throttling.
- Oversee Feed Efficiency Dashboards and implement automatic feed rebalancing rules based on ROI.
Traffic & Demand Optimization
- Partner with Search and B2B API teams to build L2B optimizers that predict and block non convertible search requests.
- Implement ML driven traffic routing to maximize supplier ROI while reducing unnecessary load on low performing suppliers.
- Analyze brand level availability discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions across product lines.
Availability Monitoring, Reliability & SLOs - Develop a real-time monitoring and alerting framework for availability degradation across pipeline:
- Define clear SLOs for each system component (supplier response time, data freshness, rate loss).
- Launch Availability Dashboards and enable self diagnosis across teams.
- Introduce auto mitigation tools (e.g., supplier rerouting, cache fallback, rate recycling).
Incident & Success Rate Optimization
- Build incident prediction tools using supplier and rate metadata to detect high risk searches before checkout.
- Collaborate with Rate Management & Checkout teams to shift incident prevention upstream (pre-booking).
- Analyze failure clusters (specific suppliers, regions, rate types) and initiate optimization experiments.
- Introduce issue rate cost models to quantify financial impact of incident prone suppliers.
Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with other Consolidator value streams:
- Search – ensure optimized query formation and routing.
- Content – validate hotel and room data accuracy for availability logic.
- Pricing & Rate Management – align rate filtering and availability rules.
- Checkout – ensure pre-book and book SR optimization.
- Collaborate closely with Analytics, Supply, and Infra teams to align metrics and performance standards.
Requirements
- 7+ years in Product Management, ideally in travel, marketplace, or high volume API systems.
- Experience managing supply demand optimization products or availability pipelines.
- Strong data skills (SQL, dashboarding, metric design).
- Familiarity with ML-driven traffic optimization, feed balancing, or availability caching or similar ML products
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or Economics (MBA preferred).
- English level - C1 (advanced).
Benefits
- Flexible schedules and opportunity to work remotely.
- Ambitious and supportive team who love what they do, appreciate each other, and grow together.
- Internal programs for adaptation and training, development of soft skills, and leadership abilities.
- Partial compensation for participating in external training and conferences.
- Corporate English school: Group and individual lessons, speaking clubs with colleagues from all over the world.
- Corporate prices on hotels and travel services.
- MyTime Day Off - an extra non-working day once per quarter without loss of compensation.
