Who We Are

Great Minds is a high-growth, mission-driven organization founded by educators in 2007. As a for-profit, Public Benefit Corporation, we believe all students deserve access to meaningful, challenging content—and all teachers deserve tools that are intuitive, effective, and built for the realities of today’s classrooms.

We develop high-quality, knowledge-rich math, science and ELA curricula grounded in research and designed in collaboration with educators. Our materials reflect real classroom needs and are built to drive lasting student outcomes.

We are committed to usability, coherence, and practical implementation—supporting teachers not just through curriculum, but with professional learning, purposeful technology, and responsive service that enable strong adoption and impact.

What We Build

Our products—Eureka Math and Eureka Math², Wit & Wisdom, PhD Science, Geodes, and the newly launched Arts & Letters ELA—are trusted by thousands of schools and districts nationwide.

  • Eureka Math is the most widely used math curriculum in the U.S., and is focused on balancing conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and application.

  • Wit & Wisdom® and Arts & Letters ELA™ anchor our reading strategy with content-rich, grade-level instruction that integrates literature, history, and the arts, grounded in the science of reading. Geodes® complements our reading suite with decodable texts that pair phonics with meaningful content to support early literacy.

  • PhD Science is a hands-on K-5 Science program that sparks curiosity as students build enduring knowledge of how the scientific world works.

These programs reflect a shared belief in high expectations, joyful rigor, and deep respect for educators and students.

Where We’re Headed

Great Minds is entering a new stage of growth and product maturity. We are focused on building more connected, customer-informed experiences across the full educator journey—from curriculum to professional learning to platform and support.

Our long-term vision is to become a true partner in impact—not just delivering curriculum, but supporting educators in achieving outcomes at scale.

Job Purpose

Great Minds was built on a restless conviction: that every student deserves nothing less than our best, and that the status quo in curriculum has never been good enough. We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead products across the full product lifecycle in our math product line, and to ensure they align to Great Minds’ mission of serving all students with high-quality, knowledge-building instructional materials.

Reporting to the Senior Manager Product, Math, you’ll serve as the voice of the customer, bringing market research, user insights, and data-driven analysis to shape roadmap, scope, and go-to-market strategy. You’ll lead projects by building alignment with cross-functional teams, resolving competing priorities before they become blockers, and driving decisions forward when no single team owns the outcome.

This is a role for a product leader who believes that coherence isn’t a feature, it’s a philosophy, and who is comfortable being the person who makes that philosophy real across Content, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Design, and Operations, whether or not those teams report to them. The ideal candidate has taken education products from concept to classroom, holds a bias toward evidence over opinion, and raises the standard of product craft on the teams around them. This leader thrives in a mission-driven environment where urgency, rigor, and accountability are the standard.

Responsibilities

Product ownership and vision

  • Own products in the math portfolio end to end, developing and maintaining the vision, roadmap, scope, and release plans in alignment with the long-range plan.

  • Support the development of the product vision, including research, market mapping, competitive analysis, market opportunity sizing, and strategic development.

  • Execute end-to-end product lifecycle activities, including market research, competitive analysis, product strategy and design, scope and roadmap development, pricing analysis, and launch.

  • Collaborate with the Content team to develop and execute product strategy related to state adoptions, sampling, and open-territory and large-district opportunities.

Voice of the customer and product research

  • Serve as the voice of the customer: conduct user interviews, coordinate classroom pilots and user testing, and validate product decisions with evidence from educators and students.

  • Synthesize customer feedback, product analytics, and competitive market data into clear prioritization recommendations for Math product leadership.

  • Partner with the content and research teams to reflect the instructional research and the math instructional model in the product design and development process.

  • Lead rigorous discovery, human-centered design, and evidence-based decision-making.

Cross-functional leadership

  • Drive cross-functional alignment for the projects you lead, making decisions and unblocking progress across Content, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Design, and Operations.

  • Serve as the connective tissue across cross-functional teams, keeping vision and execution aligned even where authority is shared rather than direct.

  • Provide oversight and ensure alignment between the instructional philosophy, content development, and Great Minds’ digital platform in the delivery of features and customer experience.

  • Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues, including those that sit across team boundaries, that may impair the organization’s ability to meet its strategic, financial, and technical goals.

Business performance

  • Drive the budgeting process for your projects, ensuring business and classroom needs are met, prioritizing and proposing tradeoffs where necessary.

  • Monitor the budget for the projects you lead, managing scope changes for budget impact, advocating for funding when appropriate, and surfacing risks and recommended remedies to leadership.

  • Own post-launch performance of the product, including adoption, usage, retention, and renewal metrics, and use those signals to inform enhancements and roadmap recommendations.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in education publishing or K-12 edtech, with a track record of success in product management, digital product development, and/or curriculum development; experience with K-12 math products strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive alignment and progress across teams without direct authority over them, including managing competing priorities and resolving conflict between stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated experience gathering and synthesizing user research, product analytics, and market data to drive product decisions.

  • Deep respect for and alignment to the philosophy, instructional design, and pedagogy of Great Minds’ knowledge-building vision.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including customers, sales teams, content development teams, product marketing, and senior leadership, requiring a sophisticated level of sensitivity and excellent judgment.

  • Strong analytical thinking and decision-making skills to anticipate challenges, issues, and opportunities.

  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to think about ROI and the potential value of ideas to help the team prioritize where and how to spend limited resources.

  • Fluency in modern product development practices, including Agile and human-centered design.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.

  • Deep belief that every child is capable of greatness.
