More about our mission and what we offer.

Job Description

As the Senior Product Manager for LATAM Expansion, you will be responsible for expanding Wise's presence across Latin America. You will own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for launching existing Wise products in new LATAM markets and driving the local product roadmap to ensure product-market fit, aligning with local user needs and regulatory requirements.

This is a hands-on role that goes beyond product specs—you will own outcomes, roll up your sleeves on analytics and technical trade-offs, and make choices that directly shape how millions of customers send, receive, and spend. You will work closely with our banking expansion team to prioritize licenses and market sequencing, while collaborating with global product teams, compliance, marketing, and data analytics to define go-to-market plans and iterate products from 0 to 1.

What You Will Do

  • Strategy & Vision: Identify the highest-impact markets and product launches, balancing customer value, feasibility, and regulatory constraints.

  • End-to-End Ownership: Own growth and activation in newly launched markets, including acquisition channels, onboarding journeys, and the product set available to customers. Lead customer discovery and turn insights into clear product priorities and measurable goals.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with banking expansion, global product teams, and local stakeholders (country managers, compliance, marketing, data analytics) to execute on the local roadmap.

  • Regulatory & Compliance: Strike the right balance between scalable, compliant solutions and a great experience for legitimate customers.

  • Data-Driven Execution: Monitor performance end-to-end (including operational and risk metrics), using data and customer feedback to drive iteration.

  • Technical Partnership: Act as a bridge to engineering by understanding system architecture and partnering effectively on technical requirements.

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

  • Product Management Experience: Experience as a Product Manager, with clear ownership of outcomes.
  • Regulated Onboarding Ownership: Proven experience owning (not just contributing to) onboarding for a regulated product (e.g., payments account, money transfer, card issuing, lending, or crypto), including funnel design and optimization (activation + conversion).

  • Onboarding Controls Fluency: Practical understanding of identity and onboarding controls, including at least two of the following: KYC/CIP, ID&V, document checks, liveness/biometrics, public registry/bureau/sanctions/PEP screening integrations, risk-based onboarding, or step-up verification.
  • 0-1 Launch Experience: Demonstrated experience launching a product or major feature from scratch in a regulated context where compliance and regulatory approval shaped the go-to-market.
  • Growth Metrics Competence: Ability to define, track, and improve core metrics such as CPA/CAC, conversion rate by step, activation, retention, and LTV

  • Language Fluency: Excellent communication skills in English are required. Comfortable reading, speaking, and listening in Spanish is required.

  • Customer Impact: Proven experience making product decisions grounded in customer research and insight

  • Lifecycle Ownership: A hands-on approach; you proactively drive outcomes, unblock progress, and iterate products from 0 to 1.

  • Data Literacy: Strong data fluency; comfortable using data models and writing SQL independently (or AI-supported). Experience with experimentation (A/B testing) and cohort analysis.

  • Technical Fluency: Technical depth; able to discuss architecture credibly and partner effectively with engineering.

  • Structured Thinking: You break down ambiguity and connect details to the broader strategy.

  • Bias for Action: Demonstrated ability to align teams, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and move decisions forward.

  • Fintech Expertise: Experience working in fintech, payments, or similarly regulated spaces with high fraud incentives is a strong signal. Experience collaborating with local market teams is preferred.
