About the Role
As the Senior Product Manager for International Payments, you will lead the strategy and execution for expanding and optimizing our payment solutions across global markets, with a primary focus on India and Southeast Asia. You will be responsible for identifying and forging partnerships with key payment providers, expanding payment methods, and ensuring our solutions are tailored to the unique needs of each market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Global Payment Strategy: Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive payment strategy, prioritizing India and Southeast Asia, to drive market expansion and optimize payment processes.
- Payment Partnerships: Identify, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships with payment providers and financial institutions to enhance our global payment offerings.
- Payment Method Expansion: Expand and integrate new payment methods to cater to diverse customer preferences in each market, ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards.
- Monetization & KPI Reporting: Oversee monetization strategies, including tracking and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess product performance and drive revenue growth.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, legal, compliance, and finance teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of payment solutions across markets.
- Market Research & Customer Insights: Conduct thorough market research and gather customer insights to inform product development and ensure that our payment solutions meet the needs of customers in different regions.
- Product Development: Lead the creation of product requirements, user stories, and roadmaps to support the development and launch of new payment features and enhancements.
About You:
- You have over 8 years experience shipping products and features for a consumer technology company, and at least 5 years experience specifically in international payments.
- Specific experience with India and South East Asian payment landscapes
- Proven track record in transaction flows, ecommerce and checkout systems.
- Expertise in driving strategic growth for subscription and streaming service products.
- Experience in KPI reporting and ownership of metric reporting processes
- Extensive experience working with global payment processing systems
- Excellent product judgment: You have the ability to make sound judgments based on tradeoffs of different solutions, complex problems, various partners, and many constraints. You have an in-depth understanding of what makes a user experience good or bad, and delivers what the customer wants to do.
- Experience writing detailed product specs and documentation: You easily recognize aesthetic and functional details and decisions about what details are actually important.
- Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects effectively
- Experience communicating complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences with the ability to engage partners and collaborators to drive collaboration and alignment
