Job Description

Gracenote, the content data division of Nielsen, powers innovative entertainment experiences for leading media companies worldwide. Our advanced entertainment metadata and connected IDs enable seamless content navigation and discovery, helping consumers connect to the content they love and explore new favorites. With a global presence, Gracenote delivers both global and localized video, audio, automotive & sports content solutions across the Americas, Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. We are seeking a product manager to help deliver a new AI-based platform powering a new family of Instream Video Intelligence (ISVI) products. As Product Manager, you'll be responsible for coordinating the platform roadmap, and delivery of new technologies that leverage Vision Language Models (VLMs) and related GenAI video technologies. You will work with a team of product experts in their field, and report to Gracenote’s SVP of Product.

Gracenote AI is an exciting new growth vector for Gracenote. This role will be hugely impactful in shaping commercial strategy, product strategy, and pricing to mature our VLM-based products in a rapidly-evolving technological landscape, and will play a significant role in how Gracenote helps the world's largest CTV apps and platforms power search and discovery.

The ideal candidate excels at product coordination and delivery, and will contribute directly to the success of these emergent products. This role requires a practitioner with a solutions-oriented mindset who understands the potential of VLM technology in the entertainment metadata industry and can execute to fruition.

Responsibilities

  1. Own the Gracenote ISVI platform roadmap. Define and deliver LLM and Grounding products and platforms that anticipate the needs of the entertainment industry, with a specific focus on Video and Sports in Connected Television (CTV).
  2. Work with a team of talented product managers, sharing knowledge, and aligning Gracenote’s expertise in entertainment metadata with the rapidly evolving capabilities of vision language models, coordinating deliverables and timing with your Product counterparts in the US.
  3. Collaborate with internal cross-functional stakeholders and external partners to evangelize and articulate Gracenote’s AI vision and strategy.
  4. Coordinate with Engineering colleagues and counterparts to ensure development resources are aligned with product priorities; collaborate with engineering, data science, UX, commercial, and external partners to deliver exceptional products.
  5. Engage with customers to understand their problems and ensure we are building products with strong commercial potential.

Qualifications

5+ years experience leading technology product teams.

Demonstrated and detailed knowledge of the capability, potential, and pitfalls of language models and probabilistic technologies.

Applied experience in creating products that leverage language models to address domain-specific use cases, ideally employing large-scale, authoritative datasets.

Strong executive disposition and communication skills, with the ability to build trust in evolving data and technology environments.

Preferred: Experience in understanding and overcoming the business and technical challenges of the CTV/entertainment metadata space.
