Position : Senior Product Manager (Growth)
What will you do?
1. Problem Definition & Critical Thinking
- The Role: Identify and define the most impactful problems to solve within the growth channel. You must distinguish between symptoms and root causes to ensure the engineering and business teams are working on the right priorities.
- The Expectation: You provide the logic and data-backed reasoning for the product roadmap. You are expected to challenge assumptions and break down complex channel dynamics into clear, actionable strategies that drive incremental growth.
2. Technical Strategy & Integration
- The Role: Own the technical plan for channel automation, focusing on how product data is structured and how bidding logic is applied at scale.
- The Expectation: You work directly with engineers to ensure system architecture is robust. You must be able to understand API documentation and technical constraints to prevent performance bottlenecks.
3. Data & Autonomous Analytics
- The Role: Monitor channel performance and investigate deviations from targets.
- The Expectation: While you work with Data Science, you do not rely on them for daily needs. You are expected to write your own SQL, build your own dashboards, and perform independent analysis to find the "why" behind the numbers.
4. Platform Expertise & Operational Insight
- The Role: Maintain a deep, hands-on understanding of the channel’s operational workflows to identify product friction and improvement opportunities.
- The Expectation: While you do not manage daily campaigns, you must be a power user of the platform. You are expected to know exactly how to set up and troubleshoot campaigns to identify user pain points, manual bottlenecks, and areas where automation can be improved.
5. User Experience & Design Support
- The Role: Oversee the customer journey from the initial advertisement to the final purchase.
- The Expectation: You partner with Designers to improve conversion. If the design team is unavailable or needs direction, you are capable of creating wireframes or initial prototypes to maintain project momentum.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience: 8–12+ years in Product Management, with significant experience in high-scale Growth, Ads, eCommerce or Performance Marketing.
- Language: Professional English and Chinese speaker. You must be able to navigate complex technical discussions in English and local operational requirements in Chinese fluently.
- Analytical Mindset: Expert-level critical thinking skills with a focus on "Root Cause" analysis and problem definition.
- Operational Insight: Strong technical familiarity with major digital ad platforms and their internal campaign management interfaces.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL is required; experience with prototyping tools (e.g., Figma) is preferred. Using AI tools for automation and prototyping is a must.
- Independence: A track record of delivering complex products as a senior individual contributor in an ambiguous environment.
