We’re looking for a strategic, execution-focused Fintech Product Leader to drive the vision and roadmap for Accounting systems at Zillow.
In this role, you will partner closely with stakeholders across Accounting, SOX, Financial Reporting, and Technical Accounting to identify complex problems and deliver scalable, automated solutions. This includes work such as enhancing revenue recognition workflows, improving audit and compliance processes, and enabling AI-assisted accounting operations.
You will help shape a more unified and simplified systems landscape while advancing automation and AI from early concept through production-ready deployment. You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, data science, business, and risk partners to define requirements, evaluate outcomes, and deliver solutions that meet the needs of a highly controlled environment.
Your work will help Zillow launch new offerings faster with stronger financial systems and operational scale.
What You’ll Do
Own the product vision and roadmap for Accounting systems and related automation capabilities.
Define and execute product strategies that improve financial operations, compliance workflows, and reporting processes.
Partner with Accounting stakeholders to build scalable solutions for areas such as revenue recognition, journal entry automation, and audit readiness.
Translate complex business needs into clear product requirements in partnership with engineering and data science teams.
Drive adoption of AI and automation to reduce manual work, improve accuracy, and accelerate close and reporting activities.
Evaluate vendors and support integrations across platforms such as Workday Finance, Zuora Revenue, Avalara, and other finance technologies as needed.
Establish and track KPIs and success metrics aligned to business goals.
Lead discovery, prioritization, and cross-functional alignment for high-impact initiatives across finance, data, and risk teams.
Ensure systems and workflows support interoperability, traceability, and compliance.
Communicate product strategy, progress, and outcomes to senior stakeholders.
8+ years of experience in product management, including experience working across the software development lifecycle in an Agile environment.
8+ years of experience in FinTech product management or closely related finance systems product work.
Deep understanding of accounting processes and how technology can improve scale, accuracy, and control.
Strong systems thinker with a track record of driving outcomes across cross-functional teams.
Experience working with SaaS platforms, custom-built systems, and AI/ML-enabled products.
Strong prioritization, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to executives.
Experience with Workday Finance, Avalara, and/or Zuora Billing or Zuora Revenue is a plus.
Experience leading AI-powered or data-driven product development from ideation through launch is a plus.
