Description

Global-e (Nasdaq: GLBE) is the world’s leading platform for global direct-to-consumer e-commerce, enabling brands and retailers to seamlessly sell worldwide, delivering localized experiences across markets.

Trusted by some of the world’s most recognized brands including Adidas, Alo Yoga, Logitech, Hugo Boss, Marc Jacobs, and Victoria’s Secret, we operate on a massive global scale through dynamic teams across North America, EMEA, and APAC.

Our technology-based end-to-end solution combines advanced localization capabilities, streamlined global operations and extensive big-data analytics, covering everything merchants need to scale worldwide. We’re a fast-moving, highly collaborative company where innovation, creativity, ownership, and impact are part of everyday work.

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead Global-e’s cross-border Duties & tax and financial-operations products.

This role owns product capabilities across duties and indirect taxes, financial reconciliation, reporting, customs-related data, and trade-compliance controls. These capabilities are essential to ensuring that cross-border transactions are calculated accurately, processed efficiently, reported correctly, and supported by reliable, audit-ready data.

You will define the product strategy and roadmap across shopper-facing, merchant-facing, and internal products. Working closely with Engineering, Data, Finance, Legal and Compliance, Operations, Professional Services, commercial teams, and external partners, you will turn complex regulatory, financial, and operational requirements into scalable platform solutions.

Success in this role means improving accuracy and transparency, reducing manual work and exceptions, supporting regulatory change, and providing merchants and internal teams with trusted reporting and controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and outcomes for cross-border duties, taxes, reconciliation, reporting, and related compliance capabilities.
  • Lead product development across the full transaction lifecycle, including duty and tax calculation and presentation, merchant configuration, order adjustments, reconciliation, reporting, and exception management.
  • Translate complex regulatory, financial, operational, and merchant requirements into clear product specifications, scalable system capabilities, and phased delivery plans.
  • Build products that improve data accuracy, traceability, financial controls, and auditability across order, customs, tax, and financial data flows.
  • Partner with Engineering and Data teams on rules engines, APIs, integrations, data models, reporting pipelines, monitoring, and platform reliability.
  • Work with Finance, Legal and Compliance, Operations, Professional Services, and commercial teams to productize merchant and market requirements into configurable platform capabilities rather than one-off solutions.
  • Manage product relationships with external tax, customs, technology, and data providers, including evaluating partner capabilities and supporting integration decisions.
  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle, from discovery and prioritization through development, UAT, launch, adoption, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of product management experience in B2B or B2B2C SaaS, ideally within e-commerce, fintech, financial infrastructure, tax technology, payments, compliance technology, or cross-border commerce.
  • Experience owning complex, enterprise-scale products from strategy and discovery through launch, adoption, and optimization.
  • Practical knowledge in at least one relevant domain, such as indirect tax, VAT/GST, duties and tariffs, customs, trade compliance, financial reconciliation, regulatory reporting, or financial controls.
  • Strong ability to translate complex business, regulatory, and operational requirements into clear product decisions, requirements, and delivery plans.
  • Strong technical fluency, including the ability to work with engineers on APIs, data models, integrations, business rules, system workflows, and reporting infrastructure.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort using product, operational, and financial data to investigate issues, validate solutions, and prioritize opportunities.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across Product, Engineering, Data, Finance, Legal or Compliance, and Operations.
  • Strong ownership, judgment, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage competing requirements in a fast-moving environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience using AI-assisted tools to improve product discovery, research, analysis, documentation, prototyping, and delivery.
  • Experience with landed-cost or duty-and-tax calculation products- Advantage
  • Familiarity with VAT, GST, sales tax, customs valuation, tariffs, de minimis thresholds, or multi-market tax requirements- Advantage
  • Experience building reconciliation platforms, financial reporting products, ledgers, accounting integrations, or audit-ready data products- Advantage
  • Experience integrating external tax engines, customs platforms, financial systems, data providers, or regulatory technology vendors- Advantage
  • E-commerce or cross-border commerce experience- Advantage
