About the Team

The Product Manager will be part of our Development & Production Lifecycle Engineering (DPLE) team, responsible for defining our technical product roadmap for Workday's Development Platforms, designing an amazing experience for thousands of internal Workday developers & engineers, and crafting a long-term strategy that aligns with Workday's growth strategy. The Product Manager will work together with business stakeholders, engineering, architecture, development teams, and leadership to drive critical outcomes for Workday engineers, enabling them to deliver fast, with high quality.

About the Role

- Collaborate with Workday’s business Product Owners, customers, partners, development teams including architecture, consultants, operations, and product teams to understand their desired business outcomes and priorities.
- Work closely with product development teams through design, development, testing, release, and maintenance of the product to ensure its quality and successful delivery on-time.
- Define the product vision, strategy and roadmap, including the underlying technical capabilities.
- Drive solution design for each release based on user requirements, technical architecture, and business outcomes.
- Guide the product teams towards high value OKRs.
- Support education and adoption of platform features by internal development teams.
- Coordinate and align solution design across multiple scrum teams operating in a sophisticated distributed software environment.
- Communicate and evangelize the product area among the Workday community and at Workday events.
- Lead technical discussions with key internal and external stakeholders / customers.

About You

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years experience in product management, defining, launching, and iterating on impactful SaaS and/or cloud-based enterprise software products.

  • 4+ years experience in the Developer Platforms space, either as an engineer or as a technical product manager.

  • 4+ years experience in infrastructure engineering, with a focus on Public Cloud environments across AWS, GCP, and Azure.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Business Influence: Proven ability to drive alignment and secure stakeholder support through compelling business cases and strategic alliances.

  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Expertise in leading and influencing cross-functional leadership (Engineering, Design, Marketing) to deliver complex product strategies.

  • Customer Advocacy: Dedicated to driving customer-centricity by synthesizing diverse feedback and representing user needs in all strategic decisions.

  • Customer Empathy: Skilled at translating deep-seated customer pain points into impactful product solutions and improved user experiences.

  • Data Analysis: Proficient in using advanced analytics tools to derive actionable insights, guide prioritization, and measure product success.

  • Strategic Decision Making: Adept at balancing user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility using structured decision-making frameworks.

  • Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies within the relevant market.

  • Product Research: Experienced in leading advanced research methodologies to identify market opportunities and decode user behavior.

  • Stakeholder Management: Strong track record of managing expectations and influencing high-level executive leadership.

  • Strategic Thinking: Actively shaping long-term product vision and identifying new strategic opportunities within the portfolio.
