About Woven by Toyota
Woven by Toyota is enabling Toyota’s once-in-a-century transformation into a mobility company. Inspired by a legacy of innovating for the benefit of others, our mission is to challenge the current state of mobility through human-centric innovation — expanding what “mobility” means and how it serves society.

Our work centers on four pillars: AD/ADAS, our autonomous driving and advanced driver assist technologies; Arene, our software development platform for software-defined vehicles; Woven City, a test course for mobility; and Cloud & AI, the digital infrastructure powering our collaborative foundation. Business-critical functions empower these teams to execute, and together, we’re working toward one bold goal: a world with zero accidents and enhanced well-being for all.

TEAM

The Active Learning Loop team’s mission is to enable and accelerate development of safe, production-grade autonomy software via a world-class ecosystem of tools, platforms, data, and workflows. This ecosystem includes simulation environments; analysis and visualization tools; data pipelines; ML platform and build systems; and developer workflow orchestration and applications.

Our Product Management team leads the vision, strategy, roadmap, and priorities for this ecosystem. We generate and leverage insights from deep understanding of customers, data, and industry development trends to identify opportunities and deliver new products. We partner closely with many engineering and cross-functional teams across the globe to make efficient, rigorous, and scalable ADAS development a reality for customers both inside and outside of Woven by Toyota.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for Product Managers with exceptional creative, analytical, and leadership skills to build, drive forward, and scale world-class products. Product Management at Woven by Toyota leads the integration of engineering, data science, and design to achieve the company’s vision for reinventing mobility. As a Product Manager in AD/ADAS, you will build a deep understanding of (internal and external) user needs and constraints (technical, legal, business, etc.), envision and weigh different approaches, and ultimately define the goals, priorities, and roadmap, empowering our engineering teams to deliver the most impact possible given available resources.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deeply understand the needs, pain points, and workflows across a variety of internal and external customers
  • Drive the product strategy and roadmap for tools, APIs, and platforms within our developer ecosystem, leveraging insights from customers, data, and competitive benchmarks
  • Define, track, and champion key product metrics to ensure maximum impact for our customers and our Line of Business, given available resources
  • Evaluate and identify new product opportunities to improve and accelerate our customer workflows. Drive prioritization and trade-off decisions for investment, securing resources and building alignment
  • Partner closely with engineering and cross-functional leads throughout our organization to launch new features, products, and processes that accelerate development productivity
  • Clearly communicate and evangelize roadmaps, priorities, and decisions across a wide spectrum of audiences, including customers, partners, and executives

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of product management experience, with deep exposure to developer tooling or platform infrastructure - ideally for AV, robotics, or AI/ML-based products
  • Proven track record of launching and scaling complex technical products for engineering customers
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to define and track meaningful product metrics
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong ability to influence things happening around you
  • Detail-oriented with superior organizational skills - balancing multiple projects, deadlines, and requests should be second nature to you
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

NICE TO HAVES

  • Ability to communicate effectively in Japanese
  • Prior experience in autonomous driving or robotics industries
  • Experience working with product teams and customers across multiple regions and time-zones
  • Experience driving internal tool or platform adoption - you know the best tools are the ones engineers actually use, increasing adoption by addressing needs first vs. via mandates
  • Experience leveraging generative AI to improve customer-facing products or internal team workflows
