Description
The Precision Health Platform is at the core of research and care: it underpins software to support clinical research studies and registries, Verily’s virtual care management products, and digital biomarkers. Based on Cloud architecture and FHIR, the platform comprises foundational services to accelerate the development and connection of our products. This enables the Verily research and care products to be interoperable, consistent, and allows us to launch to market faster with greater impact.
The Data Ingestion Product Manager will define the vision and strategy for the ingestion of different data types and modalities into FHIR. They will own the roadmap for a software system that runs and manages data pipelines and data transformations at platform scale. In this role, they will work closely with engineering to develop the technical architecture and system infrastructure for data ingestion, while defining new features that add value to users of the data including clinical informatics, data science and other engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the product vision and roadmap for data ingestion, aligning technical capabilities with overall business objectives
- Develop detailed product requirements, use cases and success metrics
- Contribute to the larger Precision Health Platform strategy, and work with other product teams to identifying new use cases and data types for ingestion
- Collaborate with solutions engineering, clinical informatics and other operational teams to design and implement ingestion pipelines and workflows
- Manage the product development lifecycle, including planning, execution, and delivery of new data ingestion features with engineering and design counterparts
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of Product Management experience developing data platforms, platform software or internal tools
- Strong understanding of data engineering concepts, including ETL, pipelines, data warehousing, data processing and data quality
- Experience working with multiple types of healthcare data (EHR, claims, sensors, genomics, imaging)
- Proven track record of building, launching and iterating infrastructure or platform products
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with, and transforming data to FHIR
- Experience with cloud based platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and streaming data architecture
- Experience in healthcare, health research, life sciences, or similar industries
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $129,000 - $184,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
