All about the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Product Manager to join our Product Organization for e-commerce and aftermarket services. As a bridge between two software engineering teams and the broader business, the ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to translate complex technical requirements into actionable execution plans for multiple development teams. This role involves analyzing requirements from several product areas, define a strategy, translate it into requirements, and drive the realization of the strategy through prioritization and execution.

The area of responsibility for this position is centered around Core APIs for D2C Ecom and Digital Post Purchase, with a focus on consumer registration, product registration, service booking, Data as a Product (ODL), Order lifecycle management, Subscription & Payments, Side by Side extension, and messaging.

This position will report to the Head of Product Development for Digital Post Purchase.

What you’ll do

Project Management

  • Plan, track, and manage software engineering projects across three teams, focusing on APIs, microservices, ETL processes, legacy systems integrations, and data transformation.

  • Work with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with team capabilities and technical feasibility.

  • Develop and maintain project timelines, roadmaps, and documentation.

  • Collaborate with developers to understand project technical complexities and translate these into non-technical terms for business stakeholders.

  • Filter, refine, and prioritize incoming requests from business teams or other project managers, ensuring only actionable and technically feasible tasks reach the Engineering Manager’s desk.

  • Provide technical insights and recommendations during project planning and requirement gathering.

  • Stakeholder Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between engineering teams and business units, including non-technical project managers.

  • Facilitate effective communication of project status, risks, and challenges to stakeholders.

  • Ensure alignment on technical goals, deliverables, and expectations.

Process Optimization

  • Identify bottlenecks and propose improvements to workflows and communication channels between technical and non-technical teams.

  • Ensure documentation, project tracking, and task prioritization follow best practices.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • 10+ years of professional experience, with at least 5 years focused on coding.

  • Strong understanding of backend development, APIs, microservices architecture, and ETL processes.

  • Familiarity with legacy systems, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and modern development frameworks as well as DevOps practices, CI/ CD pipelines, and cloud-based infrastructure.

Product Management Skills

  • Proven experience in managing technical roadmap and delivery.

  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).

  • Proficiency in using project management tools such as Jira, Asana, or Trello.

Communication and Leadership

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to distill complex technical details into simple, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience working in a highly technical environment, managing multiple teams with distinct responsibilities.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
