What you can expect
You will shape and own the end-to-end desktop app experience for Zoom. It will span navigation, onboarding, shared functionality, settings, in-product communications, and the installation flow across Windows, macOS, and Linux. You’ll partner with design, engineering, data science, and marketing to build a high-performing, scalable, and delightful desktop experience that drives user activation, engagement, retention, and monetization.
About the Team
The end-user application team is part of Zoom Meetings, our flagship product, and is responsible for world-class client experiences on desktop, mobile, and web surfaces. As we evolve, how people connect, collaborate, and get work done. You will be at the heart of making sure our desktop app is intuitive,
consistent, reliable, and optimized for new possibilities. This includes AI- enabled workflows and cross-product integrations.
Responsibilities
Defining and owning the desktop roadmap (Windows, macOS, Linux), balancing core UX improvements, innovative features, and cross-product alignment.
Partnering with Design to evolve a scalable, accessible desktop design system that ensures usability and platform consistency.
Collaborating cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, Marketing, and mobile/web leads to deliver cohesive, high-quality, cross-application experiences.
Establishing and tracking KPIs for desktop success using data, telemetry, A/B testing, and feature flags to drive measurable outcomes.
Leading in-product engagement strategy to optimize activation, retention, and monetization through effective communication and experimentation.
Shaping and aligning the desktop platform strategy with company goals, balancing feature innovation with long-term platform stability and evolution.
Driving execution excellence with engineering partners by addressing performance, scalability, technical debt, and reliability.
Championing standards and compliance across Security, Privacy, Legal, and Accessibility, while staying ahead of Apple and Microsoft ecosystem trends.
What we’re looking for
Have a BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.
5+ years of product management experience, including at least 3 years focused on desktop, mobile, or web apps and/or platform/ infrastructure products.
Possess a track record of owning and driving product strategy and roadmaps with measurable positive impact on app performance and user experience.
Have a user-first mindset and the ability to collaborate with design and research to deliver intuitive, cohesive, and delightful end-user experiences.
Have a deep understanding of desktop ecosystems, including release processes, app store/distribution mechanics, and platform nuances.
Display proven experience with experimentation, feature flags, and using data to make product decisions.
Be an exceptional communicator and storyteller. Able to translate complex technical concepts into clear narratives for engineers, designers, non-technical stakeholders and executives.
Have a genuine passion for end-user applications, desktop platforms, and industry/technology trends.
Salary Range or On Target Earnings:
Minimum:
$124,000.00Maximum:
$271,200.00In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.
Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.
We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
