The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager, CDAO Strategic Platforms; this position will allow for full time telework from any U.S. based location.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Leidos Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) is a new, high-growth data, analytics, and AI organization within the CIO at the center of the company's technology strategy. We are seeking a seasoned, visionary Senior Product Manager to own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for our core data platforms, operational AI services, automation, process mining, enterprise analytics and data visualization tools.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is a critical leadership role that will act as the "voice of the customer" within the CDAO, responsible for defining the "what" and "why" behind our technical products. The Senior Product Manager will serve as the primary liaison between our business stakeholders' needs and the powerful capabilities of our technical pillars. This individual will have a greenfield opportunity to shape the product management discipline within the CDAO and drive the development of solutions that deliver immense value to the enterprise and our customers
- Product Vision & Strategy: Develop and champion a compelling product vision and strategy for the CDAO’s portfolio of data products within the enterprise data platform, AI services, and internal analytics tools, ensuring alignment with overarching business goals. This role requires deep technical understanding of data platforms and modern data architectures, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to bridge technical solutions with business value.
- Roadmap Development & Prioritization: Own the product roadmap from conception to launch. Define and prioritize features and initiatives based on business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility, making data-driven tradeoff decisions.
- Customer & Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the CDAO’s technical pillars (AI, Data, Automation). Deeply understand customer needs through user research, interviews, and data analysis. Demonstrate ability to achieve consensus on priority functions/capabilities, address enterprise risk, and manage customer expectations.
- Requirements Definition: Translate business needs and user problems into clear, well-defined technical requirements, including epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria, to guide our development teams.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner closely with engineering, architecture, program management, and business operations to ensure the successful delivery and launch of products. Lead through influence in a highly matrixed environment.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products. Use quantitative and qualitative data to iterate on the product strategy and drive continuous improvement.
- Go-to-Market & Launch: Lead the launch of new products and features, developing a go-to-market strategy in partnership with stakeholders to ensure successful adoption and value realization.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- 8+ years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of managing technical, data-oriented, or platform products through their full lifecycle.
- Demonstrated success in defining and launching excellent products.
- Deep understanding of agile development methodologies and experience working directly with engineering teams.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate a clear vision and influence a wide range of audiences.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree (MBA or technical field).
- Direct product management experience with AI/ML products, enterprise data platforms, or business intelligence tools.
- Experience in an enterprise B2B or internal platform product role.
- SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) or similar certification.
- Proficiency with product management and agile development tools (e.g., Jira, Aha!, Productboard).
- Experience working within a large enterprise or in the government contracting industry.
