What will I be doing?
- Regulatory Ownership
- Act as the product lead for regulatory matters in Brazil, ensuring alignment with BACEN, Receita Federal, and Judiciary requirements.
- Translate new regulatory requirements into clear, product- and operational-focused solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams.
- Manage the implementation of all regulatory matters required for a licensed Payment Institution.
- Lead product regulatory assessments and track closure of action items.
- Receivables Registration (SRR)
- Own the product strategy and execution for receivables registration (registro de recebíveis), ensuring compliance with BACEN mandates.
- Collaborate with registradoras, banks, and internal systems teams to integrate receivables flows into the platform.
- Design scalable solutions for receivables management for large enterprise clients and marketplaces.
- Monitor and enhance processes to ensure accuracy, transparency, and timely registration of receivables.
- Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate with Engineering to prioritize development of regulatory and SRR features.
- Work with Finance/Treasury on settlement, FX, and expatriation flows impacted by regulatory rules.
- Partner with Legal/Compliance to ensure new products meet all licensing and tax requirements.
- Align with Operations to build robust processes for receivables registration, dispute handling, and reporting.
- Governance & Reporting
- Define and monitor KPIs for regulatory and receivables flows (e.g., compliance rate, SRR timeliness, error rates).
- Support regulatory reporting obligations, audits, and supervisory requests.
- Keep stakeholders informed on regulatory developments, risks, and roadmap impacts.
What skills do I need?
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Law, Engineering, or related field (MBA or specialization in Payments/Fintech is a plus).
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management or Regulatory Product roles, ideally within fintech, payments, or financial services.
- Solid understanding of Brazilian payments regulation (BACEN rules, SRR, Payment Institution framework, FX, tax considerations).
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to work cross-functionally with Legal, Compliance, Ops, and Technology.
- Excellent communication skills in Portuguese and English (both written and verbal).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn complex regulations into actionable product requirements.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment with evolving requirements.
