(Senior) Product Manager Banking Network

We’re looking for a passionate product manager to massively scale our Banking Network in Europe. Adyen has built its Banking infrastructure fully in-house and leverages its banking licenses in Europe, the United States and United Kingdom to offer a variety of financial products. Our banking network team is responsible for building and maintaining the end-to-end processing of banking transactions for a variety of use cases. You will work closely together with your engineering team as well as different product teams and functional teams to ensure best-in-class bank-based payments in Europe for a variety of products. 

The role is based out of Madrid and sits within our Financial Products solution which is responsible for all financial products we offer to our customers. Whether we work with large partner platforms, medium sized local merchants, or major international enterprise businesses, our products need to meet our clients expectations and seamlessly fit into their systems.

What you’ll do

• You will be challenged to build a best-in-class banking network and banking capabilities with a focus on EU and APAC
• Perform in depth analysis of Payment Systems like SCT/SDD and NPP and scope out improvements and changes to our integrations with these.
• Work closely together with our commercial teams to enable them to sell and explain the USPs of our banking network;
• Actively engage with customers to ensure they can get the true value out of our product and understand their future product needs;
• Set the vision to make our products that leverage bank payments are undisputedly the best in the market;
• Work closely together with different teams (e.g. Compliance, Treasury Partnerships) to ensure our bank account offering meets all financial and legal requirements;
• You will multiply your impact by guiding and growing the team working directly or indirectly on our offering.

Who you are

• Experience: 5 - 8 years of working experience in product roles within a fintech- or financial services environment focussed on bank payments.
• Mindset: You have an entrepreneurial mindset, strong project management skills, and are able to form a vision and work with the engineering teams to implement.
• Proven record: you have experience in launching and scaling transactional banking products and have in-depth experience with at least one major market infrastructure. 
• Market-informed: You know the global transactional banking world including the most important payment systems globally as well as transactional behavior of people in different markets. 
• Product management: You are able to create a reliable roadmap and have the capability to make tough prioritization decisions.
• Communication: You have solid communication skills to interact with both internal and external stakeholders from varying disciplines and cultures
