The Role
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Technical Product Manager to help build and scale our advertising platform at Spotify. In this role, you'll own two foundational pillars of our advertising infrastructure: the Ads Data Store and the Ads API.

The Ads Data Store is the authoritative source of truth for Ads booking data, enabling forecasting, campaign management, billing inputs, operational workflows, and downstream reporting systems. The Ads API is the primary interface layer through which internal teams and external advertisers and partners interact with our advertising platform.

Together, these platforms form the backbone of Spotify's Ads ecosystem — and this role is responsible for their integrity, accessibility, and scalability.

As the owner of both the Ads Data Store and the Ads API, you will work at the intersection of Product, Engineering, Insights, and Sales to ensure our advertising infrastructure scales with the growth and increasing complexity of Spotify Advertising.

What You'll Do

  • Define and own the strategy and roadmap for the Ads Data Store & Ads API
  • Shape scalable access patterns for internal and external consumers (e.g., governed datasets, APIs, downstream feeds), improving usability and developer experience
  • Define standards for data quality, lineage, reconciliation, and monitoring, ensuring booking data integrity across operational and financial workflows
  • Lead API design and versioning strategy across the various squads that own endpoints, establishing consistent, durable interfaces that evolve gracefully alongside the underlying platform
  • Own the developer experience for the Ads API — including documentation, onboarding, and self-service tooling — ensuring internal and external consumers can integrate with confidence
  • Partner with Business Development to define and execute our API partnerships strategy
  • Establish governance frameworks and access control policies that balance openness with security, compliance, and data stewardship
  • Design and govern canonical data models, establishing durable schemas that support evolving pricing, packaging, and deal constructs
  • Prioritize platform investments that balance technical sustainability with measurable business impact
  • Communicate platform strategy, health, and tradeoffs clearly to senior stakeholders across cross-functional stakeholder groups

Who You Are

  • You have 5+ years of experience leading technically complex advertising or data platform products, with a demonstrated track record of delivering scalable, high-impact solutions
  • You have a strong understanding of modern data architectures and distributed data systems, and can reason about tradeoffs in scalable data platform design
  • You have experience owning APIs at scale — including versioning strategy, developer experience, and governance — for both internal and external audiences
  • You have experience defining canonical data models and managing schema evolution across integrated systems
  • You think in systems, not features — you design durable foundations that scale with product complexity and organizational growth
  • You balance technical rigor with business impact, prioritizing investments that improve data integrity, usability, and long-term sustainability
  • You are comfortable operating in ambiguous environments and leading cross-functional platform initiatives
  • You communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • You leverage AI tools to augment product discovery, technical reasoning, and communication, demonstrating discernment in when to rely on automation and when to apply deeper domain expertise
  • Bonus points if you have experience supporting commercial or sales systems (e.g., CRM, order management, billing, revenue workflows)

Where You'll Be

  • We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! For this role, you can be within the Americas region as long as we have a work location.
  • This role will operate primarily within the Pacific timezone.

The United States base range for this position is $147,595.00 - $210,850.00lus equity.
