What is Flagstone?

Flagstone is many things. An online savings platform, reinventing how individuals, businesses, and charities manage, protect, and grow their cash. A diverse group of people, bound by a collaborative spirit, and shared purpose. And lastly, a thriving, profitable business – where smart people do their best work.

Each definition shares a common thread: our unique culture. It’s our pride and joy. And our competitive advantage.

A feel for our culture:

To revolutionise the savings market, we need to be at our best. But high performance takes more than talent – it takes a culture of kindness, respect, and growth.

That’s why we’re building a diverse, inclusive community, where your voice is heard and valued. Where, with close support and room to develop, you can surpass even your own expectations. And be rewarded for it.

We may not change the world, but we can change the world of financial technology. And all it takes is a winning mix of drive, talent, and empathy. Our culture celebrates all three.
But enough about us. Let’s talk about you.

Does this sound like you?
Flagstone is entering a pivotal phase for its website – a full redesign and relaunch, running alongside a parallel Brand refresh. We're looking for a senior website and digital experience leader to own this as a strategic programme, and to act as the Squad Lead for the WWW (website) Squad, leading our cross-functional team, spanning Product, UX, Data, Engineering & Digital Marketing.
Sitting within our Product function, you'll set the direction and commercial strategy for the site, sequence the programme, and coordinate contributors across Brand, Marketing, Growth/Creative, Data, and Tech – while giving your team the space to execute against a clear plan. You've owned a public website as a commercial and brand-critical asset before, and you'll need minimal supervision on process: you're trusted to run the show, escalating only what genuinely needs senior leadership's input rather than day-to-day noise.
You might currently hold a title such as Head of Website, Head of Web Experience, Head of Conversion Rate Optimisation, or Digital Product Marketing Lead. What matters most is that you've owned a website end-to-end as a revenue and brand-driving channel, with a strong track record in CRO, experimentation, and digital experience at scale.

What you’ll do:

  • Own the strategy, commercial roadmap and outcomes for the website redesign and relaunch, working hand-in-hand with the Brand team so the two workstreams land as one coherent outcome.

  • Lead the cross-functional Website squad – setting priorities, unblocking the team, and holding the group (product, UX, data, engineering, digital marketing) to a shared plan.

  • Design and run the end-to-end programme: sequencing dependencies across product, marketing, creative, data, and engineering, and keeping it on track without needing to escalate routine issues upward.

  • Define the strategic direction for site structure, customer journeys, and conversion approach, translating business goals into a clear plan the team can execute against.

  • Represent the website programme to senior stakeholders – bringing clarity and options, not problems, to conversations with the Senior Leadership Team.

  • Set the standards and guardrails for how experimentation, CRO, and iterative. improvement will work post-relaunch, handing over a structured, sustainable operating model.

  • Manage risk and trade-offs across the programme – commercial, technical, brand, and customer experience – and make the calls needed to keep momentum.

  • Build strong working relationships with Brand, Marketing, UX, Engineering, and third-party partners/agencies, ensuring the programme benefits from – rather than competes with – parallel initiatives.

  • Coach and line manage Product managers within the WWW squad to deliver high-quality outcomes.

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience owning a public-facing website as a commercial and brand asset – ideally as a Head of Website, Head of Web Experience, Head of CRO, or equivalent digital/marketing leadership title – through a redesign or relaunch from strategy through to delivery.

  • Deep experience with conversion rate optimisation, experimentation, and website analytics, with the judgement to know how much to own directly versus delegate.

  • Strong data analytics skills, with hands-on experience using product analytics tools (ideally Heap or similar) to inform decisions and track programme impact.

  • Experience leading a genuinely cross-functional team (product, UX, data, engineering, marketing), ideally in a scale-up or fast-moving environment.

  • A track record of running complex, multi-stream programmes of work with minimal oversight – comfortable owning ambiguity and making decisions.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to and managing expectations of senior leadership.

  • A strategic mindset paired with enough tactical fluency to know when to step in and when to trust your team.

  • Familiarity with CMS platforms and working with third-party agencies and/or engineering teams to deliver change.

  • Strong written and verbal communication – you can turn a strategic vision into a plan others can execute against.

Nice to haves

  • Experience running a redesign alongside a parallel brand or rebrand workstream.

  • Background in financial services or fintech, particularly regulated environments.

  • Familiarity with agile ways of working and cross-functional delivery models.

  • Experience with tools such as VWO, Umbraco, or similar CMS/experimentation platforms.
