We are looking for a Senior Product Line Manager to join our Christchurch, Dorset team!

As a Senior Product Line Manager, will have product ownership for the flight recorder product line within the Customer Facing team, liaising between the customer base and the internal engineering and manufacturing teams. Contributing to the growth of the Company, this role also includes input to the Company strategic product planning, marketing and the development of technology roadmaps.

Your Challenge

  • Working with customers, sales, commercial, engineering and manufacturing departments to specify and design system solutions to address customer requirements and to enhance existing product(s) or product line(s)

  • To develop strategies to deliver product line growth to meet Company expectations

  • Responsible for researching solutions to customer requirements which may come from within Curtiss-Wright, from partners, third-parties or be developed internally

  • Working with the company bids & proposals manager to create winning submissions

  • Taking a lead role in building a consensus (with engineering and sales) technology roadmap and prioritizing future R&D investments. Assessing needs and opportunities for new products through research and feasibility analysis. Leading commercialization effort

  • Maintaining market position of products by managing existing product lines and competitive market information including forecasting, product positioning and pricing strategy

  • Developing goals, budget and strategic business plans for the product line. Recommending ways to expand sales and profitability in specific markets

  • Providing sales staff with training, comparative product analysis; feature and benefit summaries; supporting promotional material; target customers; and product marketing strategies.

  • Works with Technical Publications, Engineering and marketing to ensure high-quality production of product technical literature.

  • Potential to represent the Company within industry working groups to define future recorder requirements

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent related work experience

  • Familiarity with high performance embedded system design and standards in defence/aerospace

  • An appreciation of aircraft avionics systems would be beneficial

  • Ability to travel, both domestic and international

  • Strong oral and written communication skills with knowledge of MS Office

  • Master's Degree desirable

As the design center of excellence for flight recorders and air data computers, the units had to be lightweight and small – crash survivability requirements exceeding the existing standards for commercial aircraft.
