We're looking for a Senior Product Engineer (Software) to help shape and build digital products from the ground up. Working within our startup-style Ventures team, you'll combine customer insights, modern engineering practices and rapid experimentation to bring innovative ideas to life.

Your opportunity
As our Senior Product Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in taking products from ideation through to deployment and launch. Working alongside product, design, data and innovation specialists, you'll transform customer needs into scalable digital solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Participating in customer discovery, research and experimentation activities
- Translating business opportunities and customer insights into practical technical solutions
- Collaborating closely with Product, Design, Data and Innovation teams
- Providing technical leadership, mentorship and engineering best practice guidance for the team
- Leveraging emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools, to accelerate product validation and delivery
What you'll bring
To be successful, you'll bring a blend of product thinking, technical excellence, and curiosity, along with:
- Experience designing, developing and launching modern digital products end-to-end
- Ability to balance customer needs, technical feasibility and commercial outcomes
- Experience tech leading on end-to-end product delivery across front-end and back-end, from solution design to build, deployment and launch
- Proven experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue
- Strong understanding of APIs, integrations and database design
- Experience with Git version control and CI/CD practices
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- A high level of customer empathy, and an understanding of how technical and organisational decisions affect user experience
- Willingness to learn and stretch beyond your core role, collaborating across disciplines and taking on new challenges as the needs of the team and product evolve
Ideally, you'll also bring:
- Exposure to AI prototyping tools and emerging technologies
- Experience within aged care, health, social impact or purpose-driven organisations
- Experience working in product-led, startup or innovation-focused environments
