Are you a self-driven and passionate engineer ready to take on a new challenge? Alfa Laval's Business unit, Energy Separation is looking for a Senior Product Engineer to join our global service technology team in Søborg, Denmark. In this dynamic role, you will work with Fresh Water Generators, leveraging your expertise to ensure their optimal performance at customer sites around the globe.

About the Job

As a Senior Product Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to innovate and provide sustainable solutions. You will be responsible for commissioning, troubleshooting, and providing technical advice and training related to our Fresh Water Generators.

We are covering offshore installations also supporting marine sector and are moving into the growing wind and green hydrogen area.

Travel: High travel expected, up to 120 days per year internationally, providing you with unique experiences and exposure. Both onshore and offshore.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Commissioning Jobs: Execute commissioning tasks for Fresh Water Generators at customer sites.

  • Engineering Support: Assist the engineering teams with your technical expertise.

  • Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT): Participate in FAT to ensure quality and compliance.

  • Troubleshooting & Upgrades: Perform troubleshooting and upgrades to ensure optimal performance.

  • Technical Advice: Offer expert advice to field service teams and customers.

  • Feedback: Report results and findings to the commissioning and project teams.

  • Audits: Conduct performance and condition audits of installations.

You will report to the Manager Global Service Technology Fresh Water Generation in Business unit Energy Separation.

What You Know

  • Relevant Experience: Could be as 1st or chief engineer. You know your way around electrical installation and machines. Maybe worked as Field service engineer. Any automation knowledge would be a plus.

  • Educational Background: A degree in Marine Engineering or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent higher education).

  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in written and verbal English.

  • Health: Having/able to obtain medical certificate and BOSIET for offshore travel (UK/Norwegian standard) that we will arrange for.
