Job DescriptionPython applications and firmware development on storage controllers for NAND platforms to enable productization of storage devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and development of embedded system firmware and Python applications for SSD platforms.
- Design and develop Python applications for operations with NAND memory sequences.
- Analyzing the requirements from cross functional team and come up with design.
- Develop custom peripheral drivers for storage controller-PCIe/NVMe/ Infra(Clock,DMA,Timer,I2C,MPC,IPC,IC etc)
- Design and develop new firmware on latest ASIC to meet the requirements
- Fix bugs in existing Firmware and Collaborate with cross functional teams in debugging issues.
- Understand controller and NAND specification and develop features based on the requirement.
- Able to work with geographically distributed team and ensure on time & quality delivery of committed deliverables.
- Individual must have the passion to learn new technology.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Master’s in Embedded systems or Electrical & Electronics or Electronics & Communication
Excellent in Python and C programming skills.
Experience in Ubuntu/Linux operating system
Experience with ARC/ARM microcontroller architecture and Peripherals(PCIe/NVMe, CLOCK/TIMER/DMA/SPI/I2C/UART).
Hands on experience in firmware design, development and validation with good debugging skills.
Experience in Python scripts/application development
Good to have experience/knowledge on NAND flash memory.
Familiar with configuration management tools(Git/Bitbucket/GitHub) and tracking tools(JIRA)
Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
