Key responsibilities ✨
- Define Experience Strategy & Lead Design End-to-End: Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and data scientists to shape strategy and influence roadmaps. You will own the process from initial problem framing to delivery and design QA.
- Architect Agentic Workflows: Design end-to-end experiences for AI agents that proactively navigate complex staffing workflows, helping users articulate needs, identify talent, and manage project scoping with minimal manual friction.
- Master Human-AI Collaboration: Map out intent, define AI guardrails, and create seamless intervention points where users can steer agent actions, ensuring AI remains a trusted, transparent assistant.
- Orchestrate Multi-Step Logic: Map non-linear journeys where AI handles background tasks. Define how the system communicates intent, progress, and requests for information across various user touchpoints.
- Deliver High-Quality Craft: Craft intuitive, elegant solutions guided by strong rationale and a deep understanding of B2B user needs.
- Evolve the Design System for AI: Develop and steward our design system, creating a scalable library of components specifically for human-AI interactions and probabilistic outcomes.
- Drive Design Excellence: Foster a culture of learning and best practices within the team, clearly articulating design decisions to stakeholders to ensure alignment and buy-in.
About you 🧑🚀
- 5+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing a high level of strategic thinking and a track record of shipping successful B2B or SaaS products.
- A first proven experience designing agentic systems, LLMs, or autonomous AI features.
- Ability to think holistically about the user journey and the broader product ecosystem.
- A fast learner who thrives in an iterative environment and knows when to go deep on a strategic task and when to move fast to execute.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence cross-functional partners.
- Experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate your own design and prototyping process.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Experience designing for two-sided marketplaces, HR Tech, or FinTech.
- Familiarity with LLM orchestration frameworks or emerging agentic design patterns.

- Interview with your future manager Caroline Caltagirone and/or our VP of Design, Stefanie Fleisch, to delve into your experience and the specifics of the role. (45 minutes)
- Deep Dive session with your future manager and members of the Design Team, where you will present a case study from your portfolio and work on a whiteboard design challenge (90 minutes).
- Cross-functional collaboration interview with one member of the Product Management team and one member of the Engineering team. (45 minutes)
- Final interview with the CPO, Belén Alomar, to discuss Malt’s long-term vision in terms of experience and the future of Design at Malt (30 min)
