About the role:

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to drive the next phase of Nanit’s growth. We’re looking for an experienced designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can balance divergent design thinking with fast execution, and is eager to help innovate and shape the future of our product. In this role, you’ll work with a high level of autonomy, owning end-to-end product design—from UX and UI, usability testing and moderated interviews, while being embedded in a dedicated product Pod. You’ll collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders to craft thoughtful, user-centered experiences that are as beautiful as they are functional. The ability to navigate ambiguity and pivots by leading through quick in-the-moment wireframes of multiple possible paths is key here at Nanit.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead end-to-end product design within your dedicated Pod, driving UX, UI, and usability testing.
  
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and marketing teams to align on goals and deliver intuitive, high-quality experiences.
  
• Conduct user research and usability testing, translating insights into actionable design decisions.
  
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that elevate the Nanit experience.
  
• Bring a strong aesthetic sensibility and high standards for visual design, ensuring every detail contributes to a polished and cohesive user experience.
  
• Contribute to and evolve our design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across products.
  
• Work closely with engineers to ensure seamless implementation of your designs.
• Help foster a strong design culture within our small but impactful design team.

Who you are:

• 5+ years of experience in product design, with expertise in UX, UI, and usability testing.
  
• Strong problem-solving skills, able to balance user needs with business objectives.
  
• Highly autonomous with the ability to manage projects independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
  
• Excellent communicator with high emotional intelligence, able to work cross-functionally with diverse teams.
  
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize in a fast-paced startup environment.
  
• Passionate about building products that make a meaningful impact on parents' lives.
  
• A strong visual product designer with a deep understanding of what's new in interaction design, information architecture, usability, and engagement driving design.

This is a hybrid role that will require prospective candidates to be based in NY or within the tri-state area. Ability to commute into our NYC headquarters 3 days per week.

Salary Range: $130,000 - $160,000 base salary, equity and benefits. The base pay is one component of Nanit's total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, and basic life insurance. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
