Look around you today, every store, home, hospital, school, was made possible by the coordination of architects and a team of professionals. They are charged with the responsibility of creating our shelters and yet, they are left with nothing more than Excel to manage their work. We're here to change that.
What is Monograph?
Monograph is a firm performance management platform for architecture and engineering practices. Firms use Monograph to make quick and confident decisions about budgeting and resources to drive their practices forward.
Why Work at Monograph?
People first: Core to the team, we believe in people first, curiosity, and empathy. You'll be a culture ambassador and deploy your genuine value for relationships to drive success and happiness.
Build a company that will redefine architecture: Project management is just the beginning...we have big ambitions to help facilitate the entire design process from becoming the document source of truth to coordinating with consultants. You can shape the future of building design.
Work with some of the best product people in the world: We’re an innovative team of highly productive individual contributors with a strong design background. You will be doing some of the best work of your life.
Senior Product Designer
We're looking for a Senior Product Designer (reporting to the Chief Product Officer) to join a new product team that will be responsible for driving product-led growth via converting free Monograph users to paid subscribers. You’ll work closely with your engineering and product partners on this team as well as cross-functionally with marketing and sales leaders to deliver and be accountable for driving these outcomes.
Specifically, we are excited to be building out a method of customer acquisition through viral growth! Our existing architectural customers will soon be able to invite their consultants (e.g. structural engineers, sub-contracted architectural firms, etc.) to collaborate for free with them on Monograph. This new team will be focused on ensuring that those new free users are finding value in using Monograph, determining signals for those that might be interested in becoming paid subscribers and then working with our marketing and sales teams to make that happen.
Design is absolutely critical to our success on this initiative. Not only do our architectural customers expect solutions that offer an easy-to-use and beautiful user experience, but we also need to ensure that we are able to clearly articulate and seamlessly integrate opportunities for their consultants to become paid subscribers while not getting in the way of their collaboration.
Does this sound like something that would challenge you? Then we need your help!
About the role
- Research. We pride ourselves on staying very close to our customers. You’ll be talking to many customers, doing both exploratory and project-specific research.
- Collaborate. You’ll work with other designers, your product partner, the engineering team, and the sales and marketing teams to ensure we achieve our outcomes.
- Develop solutions. You’ll lead the process of converting the insights from user research, the problems identified and the requirements into concepts through to final designs.
- Experimentation. You’ll take an experimental approach to driving these outcomes, in a pragmatic way tailored for B2B SaaS (i.e. this is not consumer type A/B testing)
Your experience
- 5+ years of product design experience, preferably in B2B SaaS products, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design skills and creative problem-solving abilities. Product-led growth roles are a big bonus.
- User Focused. You start with identifying the problems you need to solve for your customers and are open to different approaches for solutions.
- Flexible and adaptable. We are still a small team with large ambitions. While we believe in strong focus, there is inevitably a lot of fast moving work happening at once. You’ll be expected to keep strong momentum while also pushing back if we lose focus.
- Branding and visual design matter: You need to love both the form as much as the function. You really care how the product makes users feel as well as enables them to get work done.
- Seek feedback. You share your work early and often throughout the design process with your team and the product/design team to get feedback.
- Bonus: While not required, marketing copywriting and early stage start-up experience is a plus.
