Senior Product Designer

👋 Overview

As an early member of dub’s product design team, you will be tasked with tackling the multi-disciplinary challenge of creating and shipping novel designs and user experiences to dub’s earliest customers. In your role you’ll be given incredible responsibility and ownership around bringing to life our shared vision for retail investors and creating a game-changing investing experience. And as we grow, you’ll be tasked with not only the 0 to 1 but also helping design and lead our product design team for years to come.

You’ll work with dub’s management team directly in this role and have massive impact day 1.

Location: You can work out of our office in NYC or potentially remotely wherever you are in the United States.

Compensation: Competitive market compensation ($100K-$180K based on experience and skills) and equity.

💼 The RoleResponsibilities

• Innovate new designs and features you think will be appealing to dub customers
• Document and justify new product designs via memos
• Create system to work with customers and translate feedback into actual features
• Prioritize, plan, and scope our product roadmap
• Work with Product and Engineering to ship your designs, communicate your vision, and track progress
• Create internal user stories, personas, and comms guidelines to better communicate our brand internally and externally
• Create a holistic component library and implement infrastructure in our frontend codebase
• Improve and evolve our design system
• Work with Marketing and Management to design external comms, help guides, and PR/marketing copy
• Design our metrics collection system and build user flows to better understand our customers

Technologies

• Design Tools: Figma, Adobe Suite, and good ol’ pen & paper!
• Front-end Technologies: Flutter (Dart) for our mobile app, ReactJS soon for our web app.

Qualifications

• You have 3+ years of experience shipping simple, complex, intuitive, and beautiful user interfaces and experiences
• You’ve built and shipped high usage and performant frontend apps to consumers
• You’ve created design frameworks and reusable component systems for complex products
• You’re an excellent communicator who can facilitate collaboration between engineering and product
• You’re a customer experience first designer who values utility & simplicity over look
• You have experience with basic web coding including React.js or frontend framework experience
• You’ve created extensive documentation, product memos, and write-ups around new designs and product features
• You’re able to bring strong best practices in design and frontend implementation to our engineering and product teams
• You have a natural sense for what consumers want, like, and use today
• You’ve designed systems to translate customer and internal feedback into high value product features
• You’re love, enjoy, and can bring teams to ship fast
