The Role
The Music Mission team owns Spotify’s end to end proposition for music creators and the experiences they create for fans. The team is dedicated to building tools and services to enable creation, promotion, expression, and monetization at scale.
We are the Music Mission Design team — a multidisciplinary group shaping the tools artists and their teams use to grow, connect with fans, and build sustainable careers. We design Spotify for Artists, a platform used by creators around the world to understand their audiences, plan releases, and tell their stories.
We are investing in intelligent AI-driven experiences that help artists move faster, make informed decisions, and unlock new creative opportunities. This role sits at the intersection of craft and emerging technology, helping define how AI reshapes workflows and how artist teams interact with Spotify for Artists.
What You'll Do
- Lead end-to-end design for complex, workflow-driven experiences across Spotify for Artists
- Explore and define interaction patterns for AI-assisted and automation-driven features
- Rapidly prototype and test ideas using modern AI-enabled tools and environments
- Partner closely with engineering to translate intent-based experiences into scalable, production-ready systems
- Contribute to evolving design systems and patterns for AI-assisted product experiences
- Share learnings, patterns, and best practices to grow the team’s fluency in agent-driven product thinking
- Collaborate across product, engineering, and research through critiques, async reviews, and continuous feedback loops
Who You Are
- You have 4+ years of experience designing digital products with a focus on user impact and quality
- You have experience working on AI-powered or automation-driven experiences such as copilots, assistants, or workflow tools
- You are comfortable working close to code and prototyping with modern tools and environments
- You think in systems, considering edge cases, orchestration, and long-term scalability
- You are energized by ambiguity and early-stage product development
- You balance speed and craft, moving quickly while maintaining high design standards
- You care about empowering creators and building tools that support their growth and success
- You have experience designing creator tools, B2B platforms, or products that combine analytics with workflows
Where You'll Be
- This role is based in New York, NY
- We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home
The United States base range for this position is $119,424–$170,606 USD, plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six-month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, paid flexible holidays, and paid sick leave. These ranges may be modified in the future.
