As a Senior Product Designer on Target’s Enterprise UX Team, you’ll help shape the future of work for the team members who keep our supply chain moving. From our massive distribution centers to local fulfillment hubs, your design work will touch the daily routines of thousands of warehouse team members and operations leaders—people who help get products into the hands of guests across the country.Your focus? Designing for the handheld tools our team members use to pick, load, receive, and manage inventory—essential workflows that power Target’s stores and digital channels. It’s fast-paced, high-volume, and physically demanding work—and your job is to make it easier, faster, and more intuitive. You’ll partner with engineers, product managers, operations experts, and fellow designers to build tools that are not just functional, but genuinely helpful and human-centered.
Contribute to UX strategy within your product team by applying strong craft expertise and helping shape design direction
Pursue user centric outcomes by advocating for team member needs through research insights, design rationale, and clear storytelling
Collaborate with product, engineering, data science, and other partners to support the design of high quality end to end experiences
Create design deliverables appropriate to each phase of the process, including journey maps, wireframes, flows, visual/UI design, and prototypes
Partner with and support junior designers by sharing best practices, feedback, and craft guidance
Conduct and synthesize qualitative and quantitative research in partnership with researchers, contributing insights that guide team decisions
Uphold a high standard of craft across accessibility, information architecture, interaction design, and visual design
Strengthen human centered design practices within your immediate team by modeling thoughtful decision making and clear problem framing
Build strong relationships with partners to ensure alignment and shared understanding of guest and business goals
You’re an experienced product designer with 4+ years of relevant product design work
Intermediate skills in UX and product design, as well as structuring and planning work, and owning the design process
Proficiency in product design and prototyping tools (i.e., Figma)
Demonstrate strategic problem-solving, systems thinking, and collaboration skills
You lean into complex problems, challenge the status quo, and seek to understand the ‘why’ behind human behavior and their mindsets
Proven ability to effectively use data and insights to set your direction and communicate your approach
You value outcomes and strive toward design that is welcoming, inspiring, and clear
You understand how design connects to, serves, and improves business outcomes
Exhibit a growth mindset
This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
