We build products that help entrepreneurs stand out and succeed.
The Role

Squarespace is a design-centric product company at heart, whose mission is to be the all-in-one platform for anyone who wants to stand out. You will be challenged in an organization that values vision and execution. Product designers at Squarespace are embedded within product teams that are deeply collaborative, and each member is directly responsible for the team's success.

We’re looking for a Sr. Product Designer to lead early-journey discovery and growth design across the Domains & Email surfaces. This includes the Frontsite, landing pages, evaluation flows, and key discovery moments (such as search, personalized recommendations, and guided decision pathways). You’ll design experiences that help customers understand our offerings, build confidence in their choices, and move seamlessly from exploration → evaluation → purchase.

Your work will span concept development, funnel optimization, experimentation, and the creation of scalable UX patterns that support growth across multiple teams and surfaces.

This role is based from our NYC headquarters, reporting to a Design Director in the Domains org.

You'll Get To…

Core Responsibilities

  • Create rational, elegant solutions to complex problems, thinking holistically about the cross-surface user journey.
  • Design usable, creative, and relevant concepts that influence product and growth strategy.
  • Lead work from discovery through delivery, guided by research, behavioral data, funnel metrics, and user feedback.
  • Shape and elevate the customer experience through measurable outcomes and continuous iteration.
  • Contribute to OKRs, product vision, and roadmap planning with cross-functional partners across Product, Engineering, BD, and Marketing.
  • Ensure scalability and consistency through close partnership with Design Systems and shared component teams.
  • Rapidly prototype and test ideas from early exploration to high-fidelity micro-interactions to validate before implementation.
  • Execute with a high level of visual, interaction, and systems design craft.

Growth & Discovery Focus:

  • Lead the end-to-end discovery experience, spanning Frontsite entry points, landing pages, exploration flows, recommendations, and search.
  • Develop decision-support patterns that help users compare options, understand value, and confidently choose Domains & Email products.
  • Translate complex ranking, personalization, or recommendation logic into clear, trust-building UX that guides customers toward the right choice.
  • Collaborate with PMs, Engineers, Marketing, and Data partners to build high-performing landing pages and run A/B tests across surfaces.
  • Design context-aware guidance, bundles, and educational moments that improve intent, clarity, and conversion.
  • Create reusable, scalable UX patterns and frameworks for discovery and evaluation flows that extend across the platform.
  • Partner with cross-organizational design teams to ensure consistency in UI patterns for early-journey, AI-assisted, or recommendation-driven tools.
Who We're Looking For
  • 6+ years in product design, with experience in growth, discovery, marketing surfaces, funnels, or data-informed UX.
  • Ability to simplify complex systems, data, or ML-driven insights into clear, actionable user experiences.
  • Proficient in Figma and skilled in prototyping from broad conceptual explorations to refined, production-ready interactions.
  • Strong visual and interaction design craft, with mastery of hierarchy, typography, consistency, and motion.
  • Experienced in UX methodologies for complex systems (service blueprints, user journeys, funnel analysis, usability testing).
  • Systems thinker who can create scalable frameworks that work across multiple products and teams.
  • Exceptional storyteller who can tailor communication for executives, engineers, marketers, and non-technical audiences.
  • Passionate about impactful, user-centered design and staying ahead of industry and AI-driven experience trends.
  • A thoughtful partner who aligns design decisions with brand vision, product strategy, and business outcomes.
Benefits & Perks
  • A choice between medical plans with an option for 100% covered premiums including medical, dental, and vision
  • Supplemental Life and Disability Insurance plans
  • Fertility and adoption benefits
  • Headspace mindfulness app subscription
  • Global Employee Assistance Program
  • Retirement benefits with employer match
  • Flexible paid time off
  • 12 weeks paid parental leave and family care leave
  • Pretax commuter benefit
  • Education reimbursement
  • Employee donation match to community organizations
  • 7 Global Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
  • Dog-friendly workplace
  • Free lunch and snacks
  • Private rooftop
  • Hack week twice per year
Cash Compensation Range: $128,500 - $207,000 USD
