What You’ll Do

As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll lead the design of end-to-end patient experiences for the Novant Health digital ecosystem. You’ll work at the intersection of human-centered design and healthcare innovation to shape the future of patient access, engagement, and care navigation.

You will:

  • Design holistic experiences across web and mobile platforms that improve how patients discover, book, and manage care with Novant Health providers and services.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, researchers, and stakeholders to define requirements, validate solutions, and deliver exceptional user experiences.
  • Champion user needs through journey mapping, user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity design comps.
  • Leverage data and research insights to inform your design decisions, iterate quickly, and ensure solutions meet accessibility, regulatory, and quality standards.
  • Mentor peers and contribute to a culture of design excellence, continuous learning, and inclusive thinking across the team by staying abreast of new tools, tactics, and trends across the industry
  • Partner with design systems and brand teams to ensure a unified and scalable experience that reflects both Novant Health and RVO Health’s design values. 
What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a systems thinker and hands-on craftsperson with a track record of leading impactful digital work. The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of experience designing for consumer-facing digital products, ideally in healthcare, wellness, or other highly regulated industries.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design, visual polish, and thoughtful UX across complex digital flows.
  • Experience working with component-based design systems and collaborating closely with engineering partners.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG), responsive web, and native app design principles.
  • Comfort working in ambiguous problem spaces and shifting between strategic thinking and execution.
  • Experience conducting or collaborating with researchers on usability testing and concept validation.
  • Fluency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Miro, or Adobe CC.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate design decisions to cross-functional teams and executives.
  • Experience and confidence experimenting with Gen AI tools to expedite work processes and evolve user experiences

Pursuant to various state Fair Pay Acts, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company. The following benefits are provided by RVO Health, subject to eligibility requirements.

  • Starting Salary: $92,000.00 - $110,000.00 
    *Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications and experience
