MacPaw is a macOS and iOS software developer and distributor that creates a world where technology empowers human life.
The Role
As a Senior Product Designer at MacPaw, you will design user-centric experiences for CleanMyMac, collaborate cross-functionally, and contribute to the design community.
Summary Generated by Built In
MacPaw is a software company that develops and distributes software for macOS and iOS. Today, we have 20 million active users across all our products.
At MacPaw, we believe humans and technology can reach their greatest potential together.
MacPaw is proud to be Ukrainian. The support and development of Ukraine are significant parts of the company's culture. MacPaw gathers open-minded people who support each other and aspire to change the world around us.
We create software that makes Mac life simpler and more enjoyable. Our flagship product, CleanMyMac, is trusted by millions of users worldwide to keep their Macs clean, optimized, and secure. It cleans megatons of junk and makes your computer run faster, just like it did on day one. It scans the entire macOS, removes junk and malware, and frees gigabytes of space on your Mac.
As the Mac ecosystem evolves, so do the expectations for powerful, intuitive, and beautifully crafted desktop experiences. CleanMyMac is expanding into new ways of delivering value, and thoughtful product design sits at the heart of it.
We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to join this journey - discover user needs, shape new features and improve existing ones, driving initiatives that enhance the product experience.
Your work will directly shape how millions of people experience CleanMyMac - and, in turn, their Macs.
In this role, you will:
  • Design an amazing and thoughtful macOS experience that addresses the user's value, along with the business needs
  • Support the discovery of new ideas and concepts for CleanMyMac in a changing market
  • Work with user researches and product tests to identify user needs, pain points, and behavior patterns to inform the design process and validate design decisions
  • Maintain and develop design systems, style guides, and UI components to ensure consistency and scalability across the product
  • Generate ideas along with teammates, the Product Manager, and the engineering team to help the product become even better
  • Participate in the product and/or company's design community initiatives through developing better communication, mutual choice of tools, experience, knowledge, and feedback exchange, launch, and coordination of additional projects in the area
  • Stay up-to-date with new technology trends to ensure our designs are modern and relevant

Skills you'll need to bring:
  • 5+ years of product design experience, ideally in B2C desktop products (macOS experience is a big plus).
  • Proven expertise and a strong portfolio in end-to-end product design - from business goal to polished UI with context, not just visuals
  • Deep knowledge of component architecture, auto-layout, variants, styles, and scalable design systems in Figma
  • Ability to prototype (Low to High-fidelity) using Figma or other tools like Framer, Principle, etc
  • Ownership of complex design domains end-to-end, with the ability to navigate them through cross-functional collaboration. Skilled in asking the right questions, framing trade-offs, and facilitating conversations that drive clarity
  • A strong understanding of how design influences business outcomes, with a habit of diving into user problems, product metrics, and technical constraints to inform design decisions
  • Basic working knowledge of product analytics (funnels, cohorts, A/B tests) with a data-informed approach to validating design decisions
  • At least an Upper-intermediate level of English

As a plus:
  • Experience with creating designs for AI products
  • Basic understanding of front-end constraints and implementation realities
  • Experience with graphic design and creating clear, visually appealing layouts
  • Basic skills in motion design, and adding simple animations or transitions
  • Knowledge of Human Interface Guidelines for Mac, understanding the aesthetics of Apple products
