As a Senior Product Data Analyst at Apptegy, you will play a vital part in data management and product development, ensuring that data collection, analysis, and reporting align with our business goals. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data quality, drive insights, and prioritize product initiatives.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate on all aspects of data collection, interpretation, and visualization to support informed decision-making.
  • Acquire data from primary and secondary sources, maintaining and organizing databases for accuracy and reliability.
  • Develop and implement an ongoing data reporting structure, including performance dashboards to monitor key metrics.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets to inform product development and improvements.
  • Perform strategic analysis to support business case development and strategic decision-making within the executive leadership team and board of directors.
  • Monitor performance and quality assurance plans to identify potential improvements and enhance overall data quality.
  • Develop process improvements and execute data cleanup measures to ensure data integrity and maintain records of original and corrected data.
  • Define data quality standards and ensure adherence across teams while continuously pushing the limits to optimize data processes.
  • Assist with planning and scoping for development teams, helping to prioritize the product backlog based on data insights.
  • Monitor new features and functionality to ensure our products are appealing, usable, and valuable for end users.

Who You Are

  • You have completed a four-year degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, or a related field, or possess comparable, continuous work experience.
  • You bring 3-5 years of proven experience in data analysis and visualization, ideally at a SaaS-based company.
  • You have strong technical proficiency in data models, database design development, data mining, and segmentation techniques, along with knowledge of statistics and experience using tools like Excel, SPSS, or SAS for data analysis.
  • You are highly skilled in SQL for queries, and proficient in reporting tools like Tableau to present findings effectively.
  • You are familiar with product management, the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and issue-tracking software like Jira.
  • You have experience with product analytics tooling, including Amplitude, Full Story, Mixpanel, or Google Analytics
  • You have experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or similar tools
  • You can assess situations, make informed decisions with limited or diverse information, and take responsibility for outcomes.
  • You have strong communication skills and can adapt your approach to collaborate effectively with multiple teams across the company.
  • You possess a natural curiosity for learning, the ambition to explore the unknown, and the ability to quickly pivot based on market, client, or company needs.
  • Experience or familiarity with R, Python, and/or Julia, as well as prior exposure to the marketing ecosystem, is a plus.
