Hi, we’re CompanyCam.

We’re a simple-to-use photo documentation and productivity app for contractors of all commercial and home services industries. Packed with intuitive functionality, CompanyCam facilitates unparalleled communication and accountability across a contractor’s entire business. We’re committed to providing a consumer-grade, game-changing experience that helps our users build trust within their company and with their customers.

But don’t let that corporate description fool you—the people behind our buttoned-up product are laid-back (but hardworking), genuine, and kickass, and you could be one of them!

The Role

As a Senior Product Data Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to our products. Your insights will directly influence product development strategies, feature prioritization, and product roadmap. Collaborating closely with product managers, you will translate complex data into actionable insights that drive informed decision-making and facilitate continuous improvement.

In this job you will...

  • Gather data from various sources, including user interactions, market trends, and product usage metrics.
  • Utilize statistical techniques and data visualization tools to analyze and interpret large datasets.
  • Identify patterns, trends, and correlations to extract meaningful insights relevant to product performance and user behavior.
  • Assess the effectiveness of existing product features and functionalities through rigorous analysis.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports to stakeholders, highlighting success areas and improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct A/B testing and other experiments to measure the impact of product changes on user engagement and satisfaction.
  • Work closely with product managers to understand their goals, priorities, and requirements.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to support product roadmap decisions, feature prioritization, and resource allocation.
  • Act as a strategic partner to product managers, offering insights and data-driven guidance throughout the product lifecycle

You must...

  • Show up every day, taking the courage to do the difficult but necessary stuff.
  • Grow up constantly: you're OK working in an environment full of change. You take responsibility, love ownership, learn continuously, and have a growth mindset.
  • Do good by treating your co-workers and customers the way you would like to be treated.
  • Be technically savvy and hungry to learn the ins and outs of our platform quickly.
  • Have proven experience in data analysis, preferably in a product-focused environment.
  • Be proficient in SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages used for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Possess strong analytical skills to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Have experience with data visualization tools such as Metabase, Tableau, Power BI, or Looker and product analytics tools like Amplitude or Mixpanel
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Reside permanently and currently in the United States. Sorry, we're not hiring outside the US now even if you're willing to work during US time zones.

It'd be nice if you…

  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
  • Reside permanently and currently in Lincoln, NE or the surrounding metro area.
  • Have experience utilizing dbt and Github.
  • A deep understanding of SaaS is a plus.

An Insider's view of CompanyCam

How would you describe the company’s work-life balance?

Work-life balance at CompanyCam has made being a mom of two a seamless and guilt-free experience. Clear expectations allow me to balance both my personal and work life with ease.

Manager - Customer Success

How do you collaborate with other teams in the company?

Collaboration is at the core of what we do in Support and at CompanyCam in general. No team exists in a vacuum and I don't believe collaboration can either. Knowing teamwork and collaboration is at the center of everything we do so we "Do Good" for our users is empowering.

Director of Support

What does career growth look like on your team?

For me, growth revolves around having the space to be open about the areas in which I seek to get better and having an empathetic crew of people to bounce my ideas off of. My team and CC at large are enthusiastic about helping me realize the ideal version of myself.

QA Engineer

How do your team's ideas influence the company's direction?

I firmly believe that the best ideas can come from anywhere, and anyone. My responsibility is to share the vision of the company so that everyone at CompanyCam can have that context thus being equipped to add to it. Most of our best ideas and strategies didn’t come from me.They came because the employees closest to the problem saw a great solution.

What are some things you learned at the company?

I've learned how to experiment in a way that yields true learnings. I've seen people test ideas I thought would fail, but instead succeeded. There's such freedom to try, and a belief that failure isn't really failure, it's learning. True failure is when you don't use the learnings you gained.
