Senior Product Consultant - Rowan Patents

We are looking for a Senior Product Consultant to join the Rowan Patents, part of Clarivate team in Europe.  This is an amazing opportunity to work on Rowan Patents which is the leading integrated drafting environment for drafting patents.  The team consists of 20 people and is reporting to the VP, Business Operations

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

• Experience drafting patent applications and/or related documents
• 7 Years of Relevant Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent and preferably a degree in computer science, electrical engineering, chemistry, biology, or other technical fields

It would be great if you also have . . .  

• In-depth knowledge of EPO patent filing requirements

Job Profile Summary     

Lead pre-sales projects and present product solutions tailored to the priorities, requirements and needs of current and prospective customers. Serve as a trusted advisor, ensuring customers achieve their goals through effective solution presentations, workshops, trials and/or proof of concepts. Leverage expertise to play a critical role in enhancing customer satisfaction and retention. Autonomously own the collaboration with client stakeholders to elicit and analyze product requirements for projects of any size or complexity, often managing multiple projects at the same time.  Actively work with product and engineering teams to ensure the voice of the customer is reflected in product plans.

Job Description

• Leverage working knowledge of patent preparation and prosecution to support clients (attorneys and paralegals) using Rowan software to draft and prosecute patents;  help drive adoption of software through hands-on engagement including training with clients
  • Offer expert guidance to customers on maximizing product value, ensuring alignment with their business objectives and goals. 
  • Lead the design and execution of complex pre-sales and solution consulting engagements, delivering tailored product solutions that address specific customer challenges.  
  • Innovate pre-sales and solution consulting methodologies and approaches to meet evolving customer needs and enhance service delivery. 
  • Drive customer satisfaction and retention through superior service delivery and fostering strong relationships.  
  • Lead the development of best practices and methodologies to ensure customer satisfaction and effective solution delivery.  
• Provide active consultation to stakeholders in the development of business cases and in feature prioritization. 
  • Provide market and customer feedback to Product Management, Marketing, and other cross-functional partners; collaborate with product development teams to provide insights that inform future product roadmaps and enhancements.  
  • Cultivate and maintain high-impact customer relationships, ensuring the success of key product initiatives and projects.  
  • Participate in testing processes to validate the functionality and performance of solutions compared to customer requirements.
  • Identify, develop, and share best practices, case studies, and process improvements across the global team. 
  • Competitive intelligence – understand and be able to defend our solutions and capabilities against competitive offerings. 

About the Team

Our core team consists of 20 individuals (and growing) as part of the broader 5,700 person IP team within Clarivate.  We are passionate about delivering the best for our clients as we become the de facto solution for drafting patents.

Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, primarily working core business hours in the GMT, with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed. 

Periodic travel for client meetings, etc. will be required
