As a Senior Product Associate in the Legal & Regulatory Compliance & Control Product team you will deliver product capabilities that depend on reliable, well-defined data. You will work within an agreed product roadmap and priorities, this role translates user and business needs into clear product requirements and engineering-ready data specifications. You will also works closely with Product Managers, Operations, Engineering, Data Owners, and data platform teams to clarify definitions, investigate data availability, resolve delivery questions, and validate that the resulting capability meets its intended use.
You are expected to own the quality and completion of assigned requirements and data-enablement work, while escalating decisions about product direction, priority, material scope, and cross-product trade-offs to the Product Manager.
Job responsibilities
- Participate in product discovery with users and operational stakeholders; document the workflow problem, user need, current-state friction, and intended product outcome for assigned features.
- Translate agreed priorities into user stories, functional requirements, data requirements, edge cases, and testable acceptance criteria.
- Use approved AI-assisted curation to draft stories, data specifications, and test cases; apply human judgment to validate each output.
- Define required data elements and business meanings for assigned capabilities, documenting assumptions, valid values, derivation rules, and questions requiring a Data Owner’s decision.
- Create and maintain source-to-target mapping artifacts for assigned features, including business definitions, source fields, transformation logic, relevant APIs or events, and target fields, in partnership with Engineering and data specialists.
- Use SQL-based profiling and reconciliation to investigate data availability, completeness, and consistency; document findings and recommend appropriate data-quality checks.
- Work with Engineering and QA to develop test scenarios for calculated fields, data movement, and product behavior, and help validate that delivered functionality meets acceptance criteria.
- Track feature-level data dependencies and decisions with Data Owners, Application Owners, and impacted product teams; escalate blockers and material changes in scope or timing.
- Support backlog refinement, delivery planning, demonstrations, release readiness, and post-release review for assigned work.
- Gather user feedback and product measures to identify defects, usability issues, or opportunities for improvement.
- Create or adapt approved AI tools to close delivery gaps, streamline repeatable work, and reduce rework on assigned features.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Experience in product delivery, business analysis, data product, or integration work that includes requirements and data specifications.
- Ability to write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, field definitions, mappings, and test scenarios.
- Strong SQL proficiency for profiling and reconciliation, with working knowledge of data modeling concepts such as entities, keys, grain, and effective dating.
- Familiarity with API payloads or event schemas and experience working with engineers to implement data-dependent requirements.
- Strong communication and organization skills, including the ability to make unresolved questions and dependencies visible.
- Experience using AI-assisted tools to curate product and data artifacts, validate outputs, and improve delivery workflows.
