Join us as a Senior Product Analyst
 

Brown Brothers Harriman is currently looking for a Senior Product Analyst to help drive revenue growth for our Infomediary® Data Solutions (IDS) business. IDS offers a suite of solutions for BBH clients in the data and digital space leveraging our Infomediary platform, which brings together our data management technology and managed services to help clients take full command of their data. Infomediary Data Solutions makes data useable for businesses by designing, building, and maintaining custom master data domains that drive the processes and systems that run our client’s operating models. The Senior Product Analyst will be part of the Product Analytics team, responsible for business analysis, project management, and maintaining client relationships.

In this role, the Senior Product Analyst will lead with a product-centric focus and be responsible for the creation, curation, and execution of product roadmaps.  They will perform business analysis, research, and testing to support key business initiatives and maintain and implement products and solutions. The Senior Product Analyst will operate as a key spokesperson for clients to ensure appropriate communication and follow through of activities. They will make decisions on client-related technology development and management activities and ensure the correct business functionality, requirements, and industry standards are addressed with proposed solutions.  They will evaluate requests using a Return on Investment (ROI) approach and perform as a liaison function with BBH’s clients/business units and technology teams to accomplish the agreed upon tasks within budget and agreed upon timeframes.

Some of your key responsibilities include:  

Business Analysis

  • Participate in and contribute to internal and/or external client workshops/meetings to gather, understand and document client’s project goals, workflows, complex business needs, gaps, and opportunities.
  • Compose business requirement documents, use cases, issue logs, project status documents, scope change documents, test plans, test cases, scope statements, and business cases.
  • Describe the business need and potential solution in terms that both business and technical teams can understand. Review all technical documentation related to the approved solution. 
  • Participate in industry and professional networks to ensure awareness of industry standards, trends, and best practices.
  • Apply industry knowledge and standards to BBH’s products and client workflows to ensure the most efficient and effective client solutions. Identify gaps in current products or solutions and participate in creating new solutions to fill these gaps.
     

Problem Solving

  • Solve difficult problems as needed through proposing insightful, knowledgeable, effective solutions.
  • Assist in the development of case studies to communicate to division, sales representatives, and other clients how BBH’s products solve client workflow issues.
  • Contribute to client and marketing presentations to demonstrate BBH’s technological capabilities and technology strategy, including how they can be successfully applied to our client’s workflows.
     

Project Management

  • Manage the tasks, timelines, budget, and status of projects assigned. 
  • Manage the overall issues, risks, and decisions relative to the success of the project. 
     

Client Relationship

  • Participate in client and marketing presentations to demonstrate BBH’s technological capabilities and technology strategy, including how they can be successfully applied to our client’s workflows.
  • Identify additional revenue generating opportunities.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred with 5+ years’ experience directly related to financial services business.
  • Solid understanding of custody operations and fund accounting workflows, as well as an understanding of the key roles assumed by Custodians, Fund Accountants, Fund Administrators, and Transfer Agents preferred.
  • Experience in Business Analysis, including stakeholder assessment, development of a scope statement, various analytical techniques, UI/UX, writing of functional and nonfunctional requirements, testing, and user training. 
  • Experience applying project management principles, practices, tools and techniques, including business case development, ROI analysis, planning, scope and issues management, budgeting, and facilitation.     
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current technology including, transmission methods, data management, messaging formats (XML, JSON, CSV), SWIFT platform, and other systems and Internet technologies.   
  • Ability to recognize one's own strengths and limitations, taking appropriate initiative to pursue development activities and seek assistance as needed.
  • Consultative and advisory skills with ability to work and communicate professionally with internal and external clients.
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations.
