Description
We seek an experienced Product Analyst to join our growing FAIRCO team in our New York City office. FAIRCO is a subsidiary of TransRe Holdings, a Berkshire Hathaway company. As a member of the FAIRCO Department, this individual will work closely within all areas of the FAIRCO team, especially the Directors of Programs and will be responsible for the following:
- Policy form drafting and new form development for multiple lines of business.
- Preparing filings, drafting state amendatory endorsements and formulating responses to state departments of insurance form objections.
- Providing advice and guidance to underwriting inquiries related to forms and compliance requirements.
- Researching and interpreting state regulations and statutes.
- Collaborating with program administrators, program managers, claims examiners and actuaries.
- Managing state rule changes (policyholder notices, regulatory changes, etc.) to maintain product compliance, program due diligence, and program administrator licensing.
- Maintenance and development of a form library.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years’ experience in the below areas:
- Knowledge of insurance industry with focus on policy form drafting and development.
- Ability to formulate responses to state departments of insurance form objections and draft state amendatory endorsements.
- Knowledgeable in product compliance and state regulatory issues.
- Ideal candidate will be an attorney, though not required.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision; work effectively in a team as well as individually.
Work Schedule
TransRe is supportive of an agile work schedule, which may differ based on individual roles, your local office’s practices and preferences, marketplace trends, and TransRe’s business objectives. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule with 3 days in the office per week, and 2 days remote.
Compensation
In addition to base salary, for this position, TransRe offers a comprehensive benefits package, paid time off, and incentive pay opportunity. The anticipated annual base salary range in New York for this position, exclusive of benefits, paid time off, and incentive pay opportunity is $145,000 – $175,000. This range is an estimate, and the actual base salary offered for this position will be determined based on certain factors, including the applicant’s specific skill set and level of experience.
