About the role
We are hiring our first Data Scientist. This person is comfortable analyzing data, evaluating experiments, and generating insights. You have strong technical skills but also can communicate effectively with stakeholders across the organization, including senior management.
We are looking for someone who is located in or near the NYC area, as this role will be in person at our NYC headquarters. The base salary for this role will range from 160,000 - 185,000 per year, and will be eligible for equity, commensurate with experience.
What you'll do
- Analyze trends and underlying issues within the business; you will be responsible for understanding impacts in a multi-sided marketplace
- Take ownership of continuously improving our understanding of the product, growth trajectory, and marketplace functioning
- Drive experimentation at Resortpass; own the analysis of experiments and partner with product to best design them
- Build models which drive the pricing and incentives on our multi-sided marketplace
- Create dashboards or other reporting to understand product performance and drive business decisions
Your experience

- 5+ years experience in a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or Product Analyst role at a high growth tech company
- A critical thinker with strong analytical skills; Must be proficient with SQL, Python and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker
- Experience running A/B tests and with experimentation concepts
- Proven track record of working collaboratively and cross functionally
- Excellent written and verbal communicator; you have the ability to tell a story combining data with qualitative insights, and you understand how to tailor your communication to any audience
