What you'll do:
- Partner with product managers, UX researchers, and engineers (and collaborate cross-functionally as needed) to define success metrics for a newly launched product, grounded in product usage behavior — including activation milestones, adoption depth, and behavioral signals of sustained value.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses, using SQL, Looker, Mixpanel, Metabase, Python, or R, on adoption, segmentation, and trial experience to identify product-market fit signals and growth opportunities.
- Develop clear, executive-ready reporting and narratives that distinguish usage from meaningful customer value and inform product investment decisions.
- Build frameworks that connect product usage to long-term engagement and subscription value.
- Synthesize quantitative data with qualitative insights to inform product strategy and shape feature roadmaps.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure reliable product event tracking and high-quality behavioral data.
- Design and analyze experiments to evaluate onboarding, feature adoption, and workflow improvements.
- Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership and guide high-visibility product discussions.

- Experience supporting a new or emerging product (0→1 or early-stage growth), including defining success metrics from scratch.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, including both ad-hoc querying and data modeling for analytical reporting, especially for event-level datasets and behavioral analytics.
- Strong experience instrumenting and validating product usage event data, preferably using Segment or comparable customer data platforms.
- Experience using a product analytics tool (Mixpanel or similar) to visualize user behavior funnels and analyze product dataAbility to validate data across complex or undocumented systems, ensuring accuracy and consistency across outputs.

- Ability to present insights clearly and confidently to cross-functional partners, including senior leadership and go-to-market teams.
Nice to haves:
- Experience evaluating TAM, ICP definition, or market opportunity sizing using internal data.
- Experience with at least one data visualization platform (Looker or Metabase preferred) with the ability to design intuitive dashboards and optimize reporting structures.
- Experience working on international, multilingual, or globally distributed customer products is a plus.
